Some advocate always starting with a necro for the easy path to level 18 with corpse explosion (and the first nodes on the Altar). An intelligence character is also handy in any case for equipping the Enchantress later on.

On the plus side, we now have some additions, like extra sets, echoing nightmares, and the altar on top of the old theme, making it better than it was last time. Somewhat.
I don’t usually play necro so I guess that’s an excuse to do something different this time around, too. Not the most exciting possibility, but it’ll scratch the itch for a few weeks.
Maybe time to move to Diablo 4
I’m with you. I came back after playing D4 because it was getting boring, and found D3 season 30 pretty exciting. Not sure season 31 would fullfill that excitement itch. Guess I’ll go back to D4 when S4 starts.
