UE set - Max Disc or more CHD

Having a choice of adding more to my max Disc or more CHD, which should I go for?

Generally on the UE set, you want max +Disc on Chest, Bow, and Quiver.

If the item has no max disc, then roll disc.
If the item already has some disc, say +9 max disc, then rolling to +12 has just 3-4% inc. In this case, CHD will be a better choice.

Off-topic, some of your amulet and rings have no sockets. Socket is important (mandatory) because you can insert legendary gem which is a great boost.

There is only 1 item which can get both critical hit damage and discipline and that’s a Stone of Jordan. Unfortunately, the SoJ isn’t an optimal item even though it seems like it would synergize well with UE because Focus and Restraint are better.

In general though, when deciding if an item needs a discipline reroll, as Maskraider said, if it has no disc then get disc. However, when it already has 9-11 discipline, then adding 1-3 more won’t be a big improvement; oftentimes you will want to reroll some other attribute instead unless the item is near perfect anyways.

Hi Iria, this got me interested! For UE - is Focus+restraint better than Endless walk + SoJ? … I might have a peek at your toons and see how you mix it up

Edit/Update : looking at your character I see now how this works and all fits together, I had forgotten about the change in squirts … Cheers

You answered your question with your edit/update but here is some extra information. Endless walk isn’t ideal for UE because you need to stand still to gain the damage benefit which doesn’t work well when you need to move a lot (you want to avoid having monsters in melee range). Also, since RoRG is generally best in slot for the cube (to use CC set), if you do use Endless Walk, you want the other ring slot to be a Convention of Elements since it is stronger.

Overall though, it’s best to use Focus and Restraint since the damage is unparalleled and as you mentioned, it enables the use of Squirt’s.
