100% extra is double damage. Since it is 3 seperate multplicative buffs as per the set, it is x2, then x4 and then x8. So x9 is inaccurate but so is x4.
It’s 20x30% so this piece is 7x damage.
For only the 6p and HF bonuses You get 3 shot of 7*6*6*8*20000% damage of a 960% weapon damage skill, which is more than (10^7)x weapon damage
This is almost 2.5x of Impale as a single-target skill. The nerf doesn’t “kill” it as rgk.

I checked the GR150 video and it was 2 minutes in killing the boss. So it’s on average maybe 120~150 stacks.
I’ll agree that 20 stacks may be too few, but I’m not sure if 60 is too many. Also looks like 20 stacks will be enough for non season Crusaders to clear 140 (there is not much nerf before you face the RG) so I think it’s not too weak.
If the build have to be nerfed by 10 tiers I think the current nerf is better than keep more RGK ability but lower overall damage. It allows more people to play it smoothly in lower tiers.
don’t know if someone already stated it but that nerf kills the block-variation of holyshotgun, which used LoD before the new set was added, the one that use the holyground rune to stack up dmg fast and while blocking attacks from grouped mobs to gain extra attacks from the 2.holyshotgunshield that was cubed
-the build was much more reliant on stacking dmg up with shield of fury but with 20 cap i guess it’s dead

2x2x2 = 700% multiplier on the 2 set, 20k multi on the 6 piece, 500% on the weapon, 400% on the bracers and now the shield just caps at 600%.
It’s correct or they wouldn’t have used the language of multiplicative stacks as it would just be additive.
This ensures FotH isn’t garbage, a lot of players were advocating that they nerf the 2 pc because of the insane multiplier, but that would have killed the entire purpose of the set which was FoTH. It’s the shield that needed the cap nerf, just to not start a nerf argument here I actually did advocate originally for 60 stack same as Bone Ringer, but looking at it closer that probably would have still been a bit too strong.
I will agree that bracers cannot be guaranteed damage to the max because of how it works. Think this is why many sader mains have asked for the bracers to be fixed.
I think I do recall them saying that this is an ongoing thing that they will be keeping an eye on and fixing what needs to be fixed later. Right now they are trying to get the new season and patch out.
I hope sader mains will continue to test this new change and if it needs fixed, make well educated threads discussing the issues and what max stack would work keeping within the preferred “balance” around 140.
Yes the 2 piece works that way, it has been tested. I personally think sader solo will be fine but bye bye Crusader RGK and long live the king Bone spirit.
I mean sure and yah that doesn’t get highlighted or talked about nearly enough, but the 1% ers with that insane timing and skill will use Bone Spirit, but for the rest of the 99%ers Crus will still be an awesome RGK.
But now it is not FoTH set at all. FotH deals less than 1% damage. It’s like you won’t call WD Jade a Locust Swarm set…

Striken is not used by solo DH Impale or WD dart, so maybe not this either. We’ll see.
I think in terms of the actually gameplay and mechanics, this makes the set better. This took a general mechanical issue, and took it 10x fold. As you noted OP, it literally was Bone Ringer.
I am curious to see how it will feel however in terms of that overall punch you want builds to pack initially. I think because of how the stacking mechanic worked, anyone that was breezing through the 135-140 GR content is likely still going to do the same because you were not capitalizing on infinite stacks.
Gr 110. 120 for high paragon players. The animation isn’t quick like Invoker’s Punish attack or Roland’s Sweep attack, if you’re playing Shotgun. Even if you use Pig Sticker. You have to stutter step to cancel the animation and drop a FotH every 4-4.5 seconds. Not hard or anything but it factors into the time it takes to stack. I can’t remember if channeled HF stacks the shield bonus per tick of the beam or per hard cast.
I agree that it may be too low, I hope the devs keep an eye on it and consider adding FoTH to the 2pc bonus. Its a fun set and I’d hate to see it go by the wayside.
