Hopefully it’ll be something the D:I playerbase can look forward to.

I doubt it will bring back the truck load of players that have quit.

You’re likely right. That ship has pretty much sailed. I was mostly talking about the players that are either still playing D:I, and/or who have hope that it can improve.

It seems the maintenance icon is present in DI in-game.

I guess we are getting patch instead of sneak preview.

I wonder if some will still be on the forum wanting to know why they cannot login.

As noted in our last update, this one is one of our larger content patches which will include the Class Change functionality and some more updates.

I would be prepared for disappointment with that carefully worded phrase. Class change is not new content, though given you’re likely to need to farm all of the legendary essences again I’m sure Blizzard will see it as such.

If they reduce p2w, I can give them a 2nd chance.

Not holding my breath though.

I absolutely love the comments on reddit about we are having an announcement about an announcement! Lol, still no official forum on blizzard dot com for Immoral, hrmm wonder why that is?

Oh that’s right, blizz is already trying to distance itself from this smoldering cesspool of a casino game, no official forums and oh look, we included the netease logo on startup now… Blame them…

This in the marketing world is the beginning of the distancing efforts. As for the patch? If anyone is still playing it is probably going to be as laughable as the last but include more p2w variables.

My guess is numbers have reached a critical point, even all of my friends that had drank the kool aid have given up now. Friends list was like 20 playing immoral, then 10, then 5, then 2 whale holdouts, now none.

Enjoy your sinking ship. Good riddance to a trash game that targets people with gambling addictions.

Because no one is on these forums, drall. It is no different than when people left MySpace to move to Facebook.

It doesn’t matter how much you don’t like it, but a lot of people enjoy playing D:($).

Seeing as people are already complaining about queue times for content taking ages or just not being available at all, clearly less than optimal.

The only issue I have with immortal is having to wait on other people to join me so I can finish something, that gets old really fast. Why in the world do you need 4 people to open a chest. Keep this out of D4.

A store, disguised as a game, is still a store. A slot machine, disguised as a game, is still a slot machine. I will pass.

Tomorrow we will have patch notes for the next update hitting Diablo Immortal later this week! As noted in our last update, this one is one of our larger content patches which will include the Class Change functionality and some more updates.

Likewise, we will be posting two different forever standing blog posts that will be updated on a continual basis including PC fixes for the PC client as well as general bug fixes for the game in general which includes mobile. These posts will be maintained on a weekly basis so users can get an idea of the general fixes that come in through the week.

So Immortal will be getting weekly bug fix and game change updates? That is how I read this.

Weekly updates on game state is something people have asked Blizz to do, across their games, for ages. They DID do it for SC2 I think and comms have been ok at times in HS and OW.

Interesting they are doing this for Immortal. I hope the trend continues and D4 gets the same communication updates at scheduled intervals like that. Weekly input from devs would be very nice to have.

Weekly updates aren’t going to happen on games in Maintenance Mode. (D3, hots)

I’m just hoping this update has meat on it.

There will always be some people that are complaining about something.

An anecdote is not data.

Right, that is why I was talking about D4. I don’t expect it for D3 at this point.

I also still think ALL the games should have had weekly updates until they officially went into Maint mode.

And you base your “a lot of people” on what data exactly?

A game like D3 with seasons as they are having updates for seasons is great if you ask me. Seasons as we know them wouldn’t really work if the game went trough 10+ substantial changes during a season.

Same with WoW, there’s enough content that having more on a weekly basis would just be overwhelming.

Weekly updates to a blog about the status on bug fixes dont mean weekly bug fixes.

Would instead be better seasons imo.
Not 10+ patches, but 2-3 substantial patches per seaosn would be fine. With seasons then lasting 6+ months.
