"This Character Already in Game on Server"

I can’t create or join any games. I tried logging off, rebooting, switching to a new character…

I can’t play my Sorc.

UPDATE - I was able to get back in. I think a dev reset me in-game.

You are sure you don"t have a very obvious password and some *** guessed it and is using you account?

I have two factor authentication.

I was trying to join a game from the lobby, and after about 30 seconds it said failed to join.

Now, when I try to join any games with my Sorc, I keep getting the same “Character already in game on server” message.

Hey y’all,

This is a bug that’s already on the developers’ radar. They’re fixing them manually right now while they work on a more long-term fix. Test again every hour or so and the character should eventually be able to be accessed again.

Same issue, hopefully they’re not doing it tag by tag. I’m gonna give it an hour and try again.

I had this problem last night, It is a bug.
I fixed it in just 2mins.
I just followed what others says, change your DNS to Google public DNS (ipv4 to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4).
I tried it and it’s fixed and I can log my character again.
Then I just revert my DNS to default automatic.
