Use a LoD gem, level 25 or above. GR45 will be easy.
if you want to burn the mats:
Hat: Life to ChC
Shoulders: LpS to whatever you need.
Gloves: Lightening to Fire
Hellfire Ring: LpS to ChC
DML: Fan of Knives to MS
Just go for the minimum rolls and that should do it for gear.
You can almost do it nekkid with a Yangs, dml, bracers and jewlery. If you still have trouble there is more you can do, but really not worth the mats.
If you don’t want to level up a LoD gem, you can cheese it with just a Ninth Cirri Satchel with some decent gear.
That’s what I did this Season. Bow, quiver, belt, jewelry and I think pants. HA for the easy win.
Previous seasons though it was always some version of MS.
Next time thinking of doing an “all bounty gear” Thrill just for the heck of it.
Leveling up an LoD gem is like 5 Grift 35’s or a 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 if you just want to level it up without set items. Doing it will take at a tops somewhere around an hour or probably just one gaming session even for a casual, I think.
You can take any supporting gear you have from an existing set your playing. GoD, Shadow, UE, what have you and throw any old items in the slots taken by set itself and you’re good to go.
As far as not having a Dawn, it isn’t strictly necessary for the Thrill Conquest, in the worst case you’ll either be missing Damage Reduction or Resource Generation, neither of which are big obstacles at GR 45 because they can be replaced by other items in other slots like Aquilla or Cindercoat or Pride’s Fall or Elusive Ring.
You should be doing enough damage that even if you die a few times in a Grifts it won’t cost you so much time that you won’t be able to complete the Grift in time.
So basically, it is possible to do the Thrill without using LoD but is tons easier with LoD. It’s well worth it to level up a Legacy of Dreams and cruise through a GRift 45. That’s the easiest route at least.
Otherwise, it’ll take a little more familiarity with the class but still doable.
Team Ninja. No dawn needed. HPS did get a buff this season, LGF before.
Usual suspects: Elusive, Double Unity , Obsidian, Aquilas, Leorics. Impale Fire rune + Cindercoat. If something survives the nuclear LGF bomb - kill it with impale. Stats don’t matter that much.
Cirri, DDs and Hunters + Simplicities should also work very well. It is easier with high level leg gems, though.
However, I usually finish season very late as most of it the quests get autocompleted, so not so sure how hard it is with just 700 paragon and low gems. But thrill was one of the easiest conquest before LoD existed and there where several buffs. There is also the seasonal theme - it is not really hard to accomplish.
I usually have a chest in season page for “good” DH/general items. Like Pride’s Fall, Leoric Cinder coat, and so on. Don’t have to be ancient - but just utillity stuff which help with set dungeon and thrill.
I was lucky with cube and got a dawn then in 3 tries got the thrill acheivement. Easy.
Congratulations…
I see you have all 7 pieces of Nats equipped. I would replace one of those with a Marauders and at the very least get the 2-piece Marauders bonus of every companion.
Then you can cube Zoeys belt instead of Garwulf and be pretty hard to kill.
