Many players are just going to either get hard stuck on the part of the Altar requiring the Staff of Herding or they’ll take too much an amount of time to even get to it that they’ll get bored and not use it.
You guys got rid of the Never Ending Questions part of the requirements, so why didn’t you get rid of the Staff of Herding requirement?
If you’re not going to get rid of it, at least bump up the drop rates by a good 10% so we don’t have to spend FOREVER getting these items.

last i heard from him it was a dozen, whether thats actually true or not is another matter
Seeing all these new people on the forum complaining about everything I thought it was “I Quit” trolling us with “his” alt accounts, but even “he” cannot have that many.
So farming for more than an hour is “impossible” right? FYI it took me 3 hours of speed farming to get everything.
Well since he terrorizes the D2R forums almost everyday, i don’t neccesarily think it’s him.
The season is 3 days old, the amount of whining about this is hilarious.
For the record I’ve farmed this dumbass staff in several seasons just to get the stupid sword transmog. Have some patience, or don’t do it.
Also, got the gemstone yesterday after about 30 minutes.
For the record you don’t need to farm it again for the transmog because you already have access to it
Really? For me it was a seasonal thing, I don’t play non-season ever. Just like you need to find God Butcher each season, some stick around (crowbar, ethereals…), but not those, at least for me.
This is the correct answer. And I’ve been farming it for about 5-6 hours now with no luck. RNG is a cruel mistress. But that’s why I love her.
