The purge has begun

it wouldnt matter either way we discuss it here or we discuss it there the underlying problem still exists streamers told them DI was bad gaming websites told them it was bad the players told them it was bad and Blizzard isnt listening

they rushed this game out and despite what people told them they insisted it was fine and continued on course right into a brick wall

seriously how much more out of touch can they possibly be? they ask for our opinion but when it isnt what they wanted to hear they retreat back behind the wall of silence and act like nothing is wrong

Yeah. Putting the toothpaste back in the tube.

It isn’t they aren’t listening. It is they do not care. They are chasing Chinese gold. That is the market they care about and what Immortal is designed for, looting and plundering the Chinese mobile market. Any dollar the West throws at this trash is icing on the cake in their opinion.

As I said, they should make a Immortal forum on the Immortal link, then I do not have to see this trash on the D3 forums and they can have this fight on the proper forums.

well Blizzard proved that when they handed it off to NetEase and let them spearhead the project after all being based in China they would ensure it conformed to their standards

Yep. They deleted my Metacritic review thread even though it wasn’t breaking any rules.

did it go under review first? you get a notification?

Shame. I actually found it rather insightful.

Oh that’s ok, I saved a copy lol. And it didn’t get flagged and buried by anyone. So like I said, didn’t break any rules

I have a crazy idea, but hear me out.

Have a DI forum.

Yeah, that’s actually crazy…

But you know what? It just might work…

Did you post it before or after the other Metacritic thread? There is another one that has been up for a couple of days.

Duplicates are viewed as spam and they sometimes remove them, or in rare circumstances, combine them. You did not get a suspension so they are not upset, just tidying up.

After, but it had nothing to do with that thread. I simply copy/pasted my review here. No foul language, no trash talking. Just straight up PG-worded facts about DI.

So there was already a Metacritic review thread and you made a second one?

Again, I would only think it was removed for being a duplicate topic. As in, you could have just posted in the existing Metacritic thread.

They obviously don’t have an issue with the Metacritic topic, or that other thread would not be up for so many days - and still up.

Regardless of who the game is for, the gambling aspect of rifts+crests is masked with gameplay that requires literally no effort or significant time investment. Players should call out for what it really is, a lootbox.

The overwhelmingly negative review ratio is there for a reason, people aren’t and don’t like to be treated like idiots. The free to play aspect is just a hook, nothing more.

the truth is what it is and honestly if Blizzard cant handle a bit of negativity then thats their problem you cant expect to please everyone but to try and remove anything with even the slightest bit of criticism is a sign of a more serious underlying issue

people dont live in an echo chamber where everything is rainbow sprinkles and unicorn farts its a cold hard fact of our reality not everyone is going to agree with them and the sooner they accept that fact the better off itll become

Of course it is. All F2P mobile games are. Nothing is ever free. A company is going to find a way to make money one way or another. I tend to view everything as a trap and an attempt to get something from me. I might be overly cynical though in that respect.

I am also a realist though. I know exactly what it is and can either play the free or low cost options, or walk away.

The concept of unlocking a rift with a crest, then that rift having a CHANCE to drop something you want, is not exactly a loot box, but is very very close. A person could spend tons of money and never see that RNG loot drop for the gear they want. There is a reason it is not legal in some countries and that would be the reason, I would think.

I’ve long given up on trying to reason with a billion dollar company, it’s frustrating having to reason with people defending their practices and every criticism you make is responded to with ā€œbut they need to make a profitā€.

I know of much more successful games where players will gladly spend money on microtransactions to finance further development of the game that they love, it’s the least they can do and don’t feel pressured in doing so.

Here, already a week after the release it feels like I’m a full year in personal progress behind players who opened up their wallet. I can’t even enjoy playing PVE or PVP content with them because of how overpowered their characters are (as if it was fun or challenging to begin with).

thats the problem though not everyone has the fortitude to do that and shame on Blizzard for exploiting such a fundamental weakness in those that lack the ability to show self constraint

the company knew full well these kinds of players were out there and they still went through with development of this game

no one is opposed to them making money after all they arent a charity they have bills to pay yadda yadda but this goes beyond simple marketing its predatory misleading exploitation of weakminded people with the intent of milking them for every last cent and Blizzard should be ashamed of themselves for even being remotely attached to such unethical business practices like this which is only compounded by their utter lack of communication to even discuss the matter in any capacity

all that shows is with their silence that they are not only openly defending and encouraging it but they dont think they even owe us any reasonable explanation which is a sign of egotism since they believe they know what is best for the players and any opinion that says otherwise is automatically wrong in their eyes

The funny part is people don’t have to spend a dime to play. I have played from day 1 and not spent anything money. Plus I’m enjoying the game too.

The thing is if people want to spend money on the game that is their right not yours. If you don’t like the game don’t play it move on.

Blizz will not change anything as long as they are making money. Sorry people they knew what they were doing before release the game.
