that ain’t Blizzard. They simply do NOT care about seasonal cheaters on consoles. Less than 24 hours after season start, some players already have 2 primals for their build…now I’m not a math expert, I suck at probability, but AFAIK, there’s around 325 legendary items in the game, and not all of them can drop for a particular character class. My guesstimate is that only around 200 or so items can drop for any one particular character class. There are 13 slots for your character, so the chance of a legendary item dropping that can suit your character is roughly 13/200 or 6%. Given that primals are a 1/400 chance (roughly) of dropping, having 2 primals drop, in 24 hours of game play is like what, 6/800 (I think I did the maths right) - 0.0075%.
I’ve had around 800 legendary items drop for me, for 2 primals (string of ears and natalya’s helm). Given that there are 187 items that have a chance of dropping as a primal (vs 13), the odds are obviously much greater that I will NOT get a primal drop for my build. Let alone 2 primals dropping for my build…
So, how are these guys doing it? Well, they’re using the save wizard online save editor to get unlimited mats and doing the reforge exploit until they get what they want…
ONLINE saves, an easy fix, would totally fix these scum cheats. I’ve reported people to hacks@blizzard.com for having 13 primals (yes, all item slots primal) and nothing has been done. Myself and homerjnick reported the save wizard scum at the end of s13 (giving themselves 10k paragon) and nothing was done by Blizzard.
Even if Blizzard doesn’t manage the LB servers on consoles, how hard is it to send an Email to Sony/Microsoft to remove certain players who are obviously cheating? I mean, it would have been simple enough to parse seasonal players who had 10k paragon…bang, instant removal from LBs and have Sony/Microsoft ban their accounts for TOS violations.
Laziness and poor personal morals.
Agreed. I was saying this 4 years ago…the problem firmly rests at the foot of Blizzard who allowed the exports from PS3 to PS4. Even the save editor scum could be stopped (they’ve reversed engineered the encryption around character saves in order to develop software to deploy cheats to character saves, which is illegal under the DMCA in the US of A). A DMCA takedown notice isn’t that hard, or even expensive.
That is NOT true, not even close.
-
mobs =< master diff have double the life of the same mobs on the PC version of the game
-
pre clvl 70, it’s the same as point 1) above
-
FOV (field of view) is smaller on consoles - this results in some mobs like tusked bogans being able to charge you from OFF screen and you don’t seen the wind up animation and can’t therefore dodge it and it’s instadeath, especially on HC.
-
mob density is much, much, much poorer on consoles. I have never had a 100% GR completion from a single map level in 4 years of constant playing, and I’m referring to the good maps like festering woods. Even with nem bracers, I get to about 75% GR completion, and that’s killing EVERY monster on the entire map. It is not uncommon to see PC players clear an entire GR on a single map level, especially a good festering woods etc.
-
NG means we have to break our kill streaks, which screws XP bonuses. PC has no such issue.
-
lack of targeting icon means that some builds are completely crap on consoles vs their PC counterparts (UE nades for example).
-
random bugs that have existed since time immemorial, that haven’t even been addressed by Blizzard, let alone fixed. Disappearing NG globes, disappearing mobs (and their effects like molten or grotesque exploding area)…just to name a few.
-
poor performance (lag and rubber banding, slow load times etc). Example, I turn vengeance on, immediately enter a rift, and vengeance has nearly expired by the time the rift has loaded. Why is skill cool down being counted during rift loading time? It shouldn’t be.
Blizzard has ported this game to consoles for $$$$$$ and is using pathetic excuses to not properly support and maintain the game, with a screw you attitude to console players. Why should we be treated like crap? Why should we put up with this? PC players spout BS that there’s not many console players, blah blah blah, last season, I noted that near 350,000 people participated in the season. That’s just on PS4. And that doesn’t include the many players who don’t participate in seasons. Sure, that’s less players than the PC version of the game, but it is not an inconsequential number. Far, far from it.
