The Grind for the Perfect Suit

Hello,
Is there a cap on account bound primals? I have many in off season chest… does that mean in season I get 1:1million as been happening? Is there an account bound primal cap?

If not, then why did Bluzzard destroy our game again? When are they going to fix it?
Thanks Cheers! Spider

You have 977 seasonal paragon and 2800 career. Play the game and they will drop. 1:400 are low odds, you will get a lot of dry streaks with odds that low. I have been getting between 4 and 8 double Primordial ash drops everyday for the last few weeks. Not broken, just actually play the game.

No.

No, it’s still 1 in 400 legendaries. (Expected Value, Law of Large Numbers)

No.

They haven’t changed the primal drop rate for years.

  1. It’s not broken, so it doesn’t need to be fixed.
  2. D3 is in maintenance mode, so how it is now is pretty much how it’ll be.

You need GR70 on each character to enable primals.

I have a weird experience this season - I’m not getting any imperial gems, despite playing torments. Whether it’s due to the crafting guys not being 12 or skipping master (which is the first difficulty to unlock them), no idea.

Point is, there may be some internal prerequisite most people simply have.

Since the buffs it’s pretty normal to achieve GR70 quite early (depends on set and hardcore fears)

Their official drop rate is 1:400 out of legendaries, so you could get on the unlucky side and not see them much. Once you unlock pet salvage loot at the altar, visions are a fantastic source of legendaries, possibly better than GR. The latter is good for math, iirc it caps out at 10 items at the end, assuming all leg you need 40 GRs (at 80-90) to get a primal. I suspect for this purpose it’s optimal to go as low as possible, focus on speed and just run 2 minute rifts. But visions were still better for me.

That is not the case. You only have to clear one GR70 solo each season to unlock them.

There is no official drop rate. The drop rate is based on bot network stats and some real players that did a lot of farming and keep track of the drops.

I better tell my alternate Level 1 Crusader about that.

Last Season he was upgrading Rare Amulets for my main Demon Hunter’s Follower and got a Primal Flavor of Time.

I sometimes wonder how people are capable of functioning properly as adults (well, assuming most of the posters here are adults) but not able to get this concept.

Sometimes you go for over a week with no drops, other times you get a lucky Sunday like I did a while ago with like 5-6 sets of drops in about 5 hours.

New season and same thing… Been running all season and only 2 primals so far. No one has stated proof from Bluzzard or any other source, just rambling spew. Many experience this and they are doing this to everyone that is been here several seasons. Primals again are not dropping. Why, ask them and without proof them them as to why they have done this or when they are going to fix it, then its all hearsay.

You probably missed the rift that dropped primals because you were too busy posting garbage on the forums.

Maybe you should find a video from your pal, Raxx, on how to farm primals.

I love how he discusses making a concise video but it’s somehow 29 minutes long. He knows a lot about the game but boy his voice is so monotonous.

I have less paragon than you this season, and I only need 1 more Primal to unlock the last potion.

Still can’t unlock double primals, though, as I still don’t have a scream yet with over 75 GRs run in regular SC mode. I got multiple screams on both ssfm modes and regular hc with less than 40 GRs run.

rng = rng.

No. LOL, no. I have played every season. Several thousand hours of play time. They drop, you just need to play. You are at 900 paragon and the drop rate is 1/400. Your sample size is way, way too low to mean anything.

Can we maybe make a single giant thread where people are allowed to whinge about their perceived bad luck, and close all other “I don’t play enough and feel unlucky, please give me attention” threads?

One of the threads was closed and disappeared earlier.

I guess it’s that time of the season. Couple of weeks in. A few players are getting close to finishing the altar and it’s turning into a grind to get it over the line. You need a minimum of two Petrified Screams (assuming you chose a build able to get to EN125 without augments and you ace it first time), a Ramaladni’s gift, six primals (more if you get desperate and upgrade a Puzzle Ring to get that ancient one - this season I reforged a Puzzle Ring six or seven times!), and a Staff of Herding. I think you’ll find most of the “RNG took my baby!” posts are about these items.

But yeah, complaining about grinding in a grinding game is something else.

I finished my Altar on Sunday (first Sunday after S33 start), then for few days (playtime) I didn’t get any Primals.

However, if you have a half decent build that can speed 90’s you should focus on T16 Visions, as they are, in my own experience, netting more legendaries/Primals than GR’s.

I’m now jumping in between D3 and D4, did a GR150 on Trag Oul Nova at like P1300, now farming up my monk on the road to 150. Few hours a day here and there…

I was sick though the last 2 weeks, so I played much more than I expected in that timespan.

Everyone is so happy in D3 apart from HC laggfesterers obviously. Sing for the moment i say!

Get well soon… noob!

Can’t even believe that AH discussions are still happening lol.

Everyone!

Time for some breakfast…

lol, always hilarious to see how you point at others instead of answer the question. Again

But your question has been answered several times and in many threads over the years.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek… very scary!

Holy… sister mary clarrence shriek!

It’s that time of season when casual players come on the forums to complain about their bad luck because they need to cling to some conspiracy as to why they haven’t got the gear they want. Take a quick look at the new threads in the last week or so and a significant number have the same subject and tone as yours.

RNG hasn’t gone your way. Bad luck, buddy. The highly-esteemed Meteorblade respectfully answered your questions 2 months ago. If you choose not to accept it then that’s on you.

If you aggressively necro a thread that’s already answered your questions founded in paranoia rather than statistical evidence, don’t expect people to be kind in return. Blizzard has never stated the odds of primals or legendaries. It’s all been calculated by empirical evidence obtained by thousands of players over the years as MB plainly stated in his original reply to you.

In my previous post, I linked a video by your hero, Raxx, on how to efficiently farm ancients and primals. If you don’t want to heed his advice, then you’re not going to find anything on here that’s going to alter your worldview and my advice to you would be to go farm gear. It’s a basic fact that you can’t get primals if you’re on a forum complaining about not getting primals.

Town is lava. D3 Forums is super lava. I wish you luck finding those elusive primal ancient legendary items.

We’re still happy. Even with the shady lag, I/we (or at least most of us) still play it. It’s just a gripe, we all have them.

Just flag and be done with it. That’s the best thing you can do.

Mr. Crisp… my name is MARY CLARENCE!

:face_with_raised_eyebrow: Not sure who you’re trying to kid with that one.
