Looks like the “nerf fun” crowd wins again. Congratulations!
I expected S28 to be the season where I could go into GR150, press the Q key, and watch everything in the rift including the boss instantly die, letting me win, and making me #1 on the cheaterboards. This is what the fun nerfers were saying about the PTR and while I never once saw a video of this happen, this became my expectation.
But then they cried and moaned and it all got nerfed away. Thanks guys. Now we get a season just like every other season.
I’m so mad about this that even my cat who’s usually very affectionate and happy is hiding under the bed. Thanks for ruining my, and my cat’s weekend, fun police. Can’t wait to see what you do to D4.

Well said!
S28 seemed so promising and fun. Now will be just another Season Journey and done!

Are you guys serious? Looked so promising and fun because of Conduit Pylons? Or Shield? That’s it? That’s why it looked so promising?
/facepalm

I’m just glad to see that Carnival did not get a “your simulacrums now deal one-third your damage, cast half as quickly, and drain you of 25% health per 0.01 second.”

The satire is real. Now for the insults
You wouldn’t be number one on the cheaterboad even if you were the only one to get the pre nerf bro, go back to T6.
Carpal tunnel playing GoD DH, blah noob d3 players, someone hasn’t played sc2 and it shows.

That is why one shouldn’t get to much invested into a PTR patch note.

I can’t believe blizzard expects me to press buttons to clear GR 150. I HAVE A LIFE.

Exactly! Yeah there’s something new to grind, but now that the altar has been nerfed into nothing, what’s the point?
Right? Why should I have to play the game, to enjoy playing the game? Some of us have jobs and kids and other hobbies. Plus the kids hobbies. It’s ridiculous
Talking about SC2 like it’s something Get up to X rank 3000+ in splatoon 3 then talk. That game is FAR sweatier than boomer StarCraft
I didn’t. I got it from the hardcores and the “influencer” dorks on their YouTube channels. They were the ones that set this expectation in their demands for nerfs.

Sorry you wanted a participation trophy for your mediocrity.

Did you just use the words boomer and StarCraft together? Damn genZ failed history. Anyways I never said SC2 was the most demanding, I just said a game with 200-400 APM is much harder on the wrists than d3 that requires 5-50 most of the time.

Good thing that I don’t follow any of those youtube “influencers”, so i have zero expectation or disappointment for S28 until the final patch note dropped.

I sense a lot of sarcasm here, it might be safe to assume you’re not serious about just hitting an “I win button” you’re probably still serious about the fun police especially on what may be the final season so uhm yeah not sure if I cheer or just nod.
To defend the fun police feedback a bit, they just wanted conduit taken care of not all pylons. Cooldown and speed pylons were definitely fun and sucks to see them go but I guess they figured we already have that to a lesser extent with the shrines and as far as I know those will still last an entire GR if you’re pushing solo with follower’s Gloves of Worship.

There are only 2 aspects of the patch notes that I do not understand. First, IF they thought adding an ability to receive a random shrine/pylon effect was a “fun” idea, did they not even think about how much power it would introduce? Have they never played anything higher than GR 130? Then they receive very informative feedback from the PTR on possible solutions, to only perform a knee-jerk fix that was never suggested??? I read many, many good solutions to the shrine/pylon potion issue. None were implemented.
And secondly, they obviously listen to someone to address Witch Doctors not receiving any buffs but then ignore those same sources for any Crusader buff? Anytime Crusader and Witch Doctor were brought up, it was agreed that they both should get something, anything.
I really am having a hard time understanding how this happens? IMO it makes no sense!

Uh, that’s not entirely true either…
Spent two hours arguing with a streamer that wanted all the potion powers removed, not just the pylon thing.
Didn’t really like the altar either because his favorite season was the Echoing Nightmares season because “no power creep” or something like that.
Edit:
Told me in the middle of the argument that he “wasn’t going to play Season 28.” But still spent the rest of the argument telling me how the potion thing was bad.
Yes, a guy told me he wasn’t going to play but since he was a streamer, his opinion on the potion thing mattered. LOL

WD is part of the meta-streamers groups, Sader not… so, there is the “someone” they listened.
Now we know whom runs the patch notes - content creators.

Are some of you reading the same updated patch notes?
I saw buffs to two of the items on the altar.
Even I said previously that the pylon thing was going to be too much and probably get nerfed down.
If you wanted a win everything button, this game may not be for you.
Game on.

That’s not the point, DTMAce.
We all knew the pylon thing was going to be nerfed. It wasn’t a leap of genius to come to that conclusion. But the argument was that “potion=power=bad”. Conduit was obviously broken.
The good thing is, they buffed the rest of the altar, but the altar wasn’t what people were arguing about. It was “you push Q and something happens” that was the problem.
I think I got the point fine…
Did I not say:
I think you are just stuck on the potion being an issue, even though it really isn’t. Not everyone is.

No one wanted an “I win” button. But again, that wasn’t the argument. Re-read my post.
Just pressing the potion button and anything other than getting healed was the problem.
