Hello, all.
I’m looking for The Cursed Mill right now, and I am having a lot of trouble finding it. Where in the Fields of Misery is it located? I’m playing on Campaign mode. I’ve tried searching near Tristram Road, but that doesn’t seem to work. But neither does searching the whole area.

Drakiok, I have, but they don’t really provide me with any information other than, “They could be anywhere.” The YouTube videos just show bounties as far as I can tell.
Avalon, it’s not spawning for me even there. Any advice on what to do other than to repeatedly leave the game and resume?
The event, much like most other events, is randomized; it may not be seen in some games.
OK, does that mean I have to completely start over, or just disconnect and reconnect?
No just exit present game session and restart game. No need to completely exit Diablo3.
The Cursed Mill can be in the area past the Fields of Misery. This is the actual area for it, just follow the road up the hill and you will get there.
You mean The Old Mill?
If I may ask, why are you looking for it? If it’s because of achievement, trying to get those down in campaign mode is a waste of time imo. It’s much easier to farm it in adventure mode. I know, because that’s how I did it (trying to get achievements down while playing campaign) before I realized how things in d3 operate.
Since you only have one non-Season Character, Adventure Mode may be locked for you until you complete Campaign Mode, Act V, when you kill Malthael. If you’ve already killed Malthael, I suggest you switch to Adventure Mode.
The Cursed Mill is a random Event that may or may not spawn in Act I, Fields of Misery. (Not to be confused with the area called The Old Mill). The only way to recognize it is to look for a red Resplendent Chest (Cursed Chest). Clicking on it will activate the Event. Not all Cursed Chests are The Cursed Mill Chest. If you fully explore all of the Fields of Misery without finding it, you didn’t get it to spawn and will have to try again.
Leave Game. Start Game. You shouldn’t have to reset your Quests. You just need to have access to the Fields of Misery Waypoint and try again.
Start Game. Open your Map to the World View and mouse-over Act I. If none of the Bounties listed are for The Cursed Mill, Leave Game. Start Game and check again. Continue doing this until you get The Cursed Mill Bounty. Take the Fields of Misery Waypoint and follow the yellow Event arrow on the mini-Map. It will lead you to the proper Cursed Chest.

Thank you. I got it this way. I had to look up how to change acts in Adventure Mode, but I got it pretty quickly. Now to go after The Cursed Bellows in the same way.

I apologize for the errors I made in my previous post. I hope it didn’t cause you much grief. I used the term “Shrine”, when in fact, it is a Cursed Chest you’re looking for. I have edited my post above to make the necessary corrections.
I’m glad to hear that. I think by default you use the M key to open the Map. You can then click on the arrow keys at the top of the Map to switch between World Map and Act Map. You can also right-click on the Act Map to switch to the World Map. And, from the World Map, you can just click on an Act to open the appropriate Act Map.
The nice thing about playing in Adventure Mode is, all Acts are available to you, as well as all Waypoints to areas in each Act. This makes it very convenient for getting around, for whatever reason, including completing some Achievements. Keep in mind, however, you may find some Achievements can only be completed in Campaign Mode.
