I had a friend join my game on pc he hit the altar first so I can not even make the initial sacrifice. I have tried everything including reinstalling the game and using a different new character.
I assume you have the 10 reusable parts for the first unlock? If so be sure4 you’re clicking the actual first node because if you don’t have a node selected the button will stay greyed out

No matter what I click, the button does not become available.

I don’t really like the name Blizzard gave to it… but:
You can ask general type of questions there… and get answers.
