So every wizard that’s played DMO extensively has run into monsters that are seemingly immune to the massive damage boost when trapped in a time bubble.
I’ve been running into it a lot with my MM variant and it’s a royal PITA. But I found a couple of ways to deal with it. If you suspect it’s happening teleport away and let the monster come to you. Applying a new time bubble will usually clear it. But what also works is quaffing a potion with the debuf (middle potion power in altar). Either of these seems to force the game to recompute the damage multipliers and “Viola!” melty monster time is back.

Sometimes this time bubble just doesn’t appear. I play on DMO’s x10 Magic Missile build, mostly on T16 - the build is really fast, actually, the best wizard’s build for T16, and this bug & possible actions/delays to fix it are a little bit annoying, especially in Visions. Maybe it will be better to try LoD’s Magic Missile on T16… less damage, but no visible bugs.

As far as I can tell the time bubble won’t appear only when you one-shot a target. The code is supposed to (ha ha ha… Blizzard and deterministic coding) “Apply a time shell to a target that doesn’t already have one”
What’s super annoying is when the RG or a Juggernaut clearly is in a time bubble but seemingly immune to the damage boost. That’s what I think I’ve solved with the “drop a new bubble or apply a new debuf” hack. Lame but at this point…
Might try the LoD variant… what do you plan on doing for dmg multiplier without DMO? Fire gloves, Fire Chest, 20% fire from Firebird orb, +20% Fire on amulet and bracers, Mirrorball, Simplicity, and Depth Diggers still only amount to 800% damage boost. With max LoD on 13 items that’s another 4875%… so maybe 5600% dmg boost. Of course some of that damage might be multiplicative and not additive.
Also Fragment of Destiny and The Shame of Delsere + Aether Walker in Cube. Actually, full ancient LoD gives 9750%. LoD damage is more than enough for T16, even without Cindercoat, Firebird orb, Magefist and Bane of the Trapped.
Right… ancients double LoD… always forget that. I’m getting my SSF HC Wizard into shape with DMO. I’ll start accumulating LoD gear now… I’m curious how far I can push it.
Just cleared Gr 135 on DMO Magic Missile + Orb of Infinite Depth at ~1200 paragon, EU hardcore. It’s safe, but its damage is not enough and will not be enough even on higher paragon. Area damage might help, but I’m not sure it works well with Magic Missiles, if at all.
I usually always try to reach 150 solo on DMO Twister if seasonal themes allow it ( as it was in the seasons of Soul Shards, free Cube slots and Ethereals ). Sadly, wizard isn’t OP in this season, Twister has no real buff except that Storm Armor effect, even LoD meteor is weak… it practically lost ~x10 damage compared to Ethereals season.
Got my pure MM LoD build up to GR100 easily but pushing GR105 I got ran over by multiple mobs of whirling dervishes (including an elite). Before I could recover I proc’d twice and while waiting for my potion to come of cooldown went down swinging. Ahh… HC… gotta love it.
I was only p900 so with a few hundred more paragon who knows… anyways it was fun… Might be done with the season now.
