Tempest Rush flurry explosion

The last time I played this build I had no problem to pull off the explosion, but something has changed and now it’s really hard to pull it off.

I have tried to use Blinding Flash 1 second before releasing Tempest Rush and it seems to help sometimes, but not always. It ruins entire runs for me and is becoming really annoying. Why did it change? Is there a trick to pull it off every time?

I’m about to give up my pushing because of this shiiit.

I play on console, at GR 146 now.

Are you having any problems with your ping? That seems to be a common culprit in situations like that.

Yeah I have noticed that it’s even harder when it lags in multiplayer. My ping should be okay, but maybe with many mobs on Switch 1 it adds to the lag, making it harder to hit. I’ll try to counter that.

So annoying, last time I had really fun with this build on both PC and Switch, no problems.

Switch 1 can be finicky with ping unless you’re close to the access point… unless you’re hard-wired. Switch 2 had much less problems, I noticed.

I’m using ethernet cable at the moment and have been since i began pushing with my monk.

That Blizzard screwed it up when it was working perfectly, and then left the development. There are no words for it, not that are allowed in this forum anyway.

If I were you, it wouldn’t hurt to use one of those online places like speedtest to check your ping. I know a couple times, mine was unusually high but it turned out that the ISP was having issues itself.

Where I am now I have 17,5 mbps down, and 16,6 mbps up, latency 13 ms, is that okay?

It says:

"Your Internet connection is fast.

Your Internet connection should be able to handle multiple devices streaming HD videos at the same time."

Norwegian internet is known to be stable and speedy.

Yeah, 13ms ping is good. It was worth checking. When you do the test, does it show any jitter?

It seemed to run flawlessly, so I don’t think the problem is my internet.

It’s just too inconsistent how this mechanic works. When you release the Tempest Rush it should explode, period. Like it did before.

Did you ever try out Switch2? I remember you asking me.

Nah, I have decided not to buy Switch 2, I don’t like Nintendo as a company anymore and won’t support their products. And it would be only for D3 as there are no titles on it that I would like to play.

Kinda sad, I was looking forward to buy it, but over time I couldn’t find a good reason, especially since I have Steam Deck which now runs Elden Ring in stable 60 FPS. Switch 2 version is only 30 FPS.

That’s too bad, I’ve enjoyed mine. I wish it played Cyberpunk at 60 even though people say 40 looks good.

If there are titles you wish to play on it, it’s worth it unless you have other reasons not to buy. It’s a beautiful device and I hope you enjoy the heck out of yours

Season is over for me, I’m not dealing with this c.rap. D3 just lost great value for me, it’s an unfinished game left to rot by the devs.

Have you tried playing D3 on your deck?

Yeah, that runs great, better than any PC/Mac I ever had. When I’m in the mood for mouse and keyboard I play that. Maybe once every 4 seasons.

I meant on Deck without keyboard and mouse, using steam controller input.

That is not good enough, unfortunately. Maybe for some builds, but for most, no. If you can play D3 well with Xpadder, then I guess you could play on the Deck. And the thumb mouse ain’t that precise, I almost can’t even use it for navigating Linux OS.

Just to be sure: it has nothing to do with poison damage for the soul shard?

Not sure, I have poison dmg on my off-hand weapon, is that enough?

It was just a long shot. Haven’t played monk in years. Poison on any of the weapons should be fine for sure. Poison can also proc from the death blow, which can work fine in easy content.
I use the Anguish shard on weapons for my wizard builds this season and there is a clear ikon on the bar (on PC) that will show if the buff is up and how many of the 10 stacks you have. I once noticed that if the follower has the poison damage and the follower gets stuck too far away the buff will fall off.
