Support for D3 Mods?

Any future plans to support mods for Diablo III ?

After looking over Season 23 PTR Preview and D2 Resurrected having support for mods, I was wondering if we might ever get D3 mod support?

I dont play a lot of Diablo 3 anymore but the new PTR has got me interested and always made me think about mods for D3.

This would be amazing I personally would love to see a mod that could make D3 more like diablo 2!
With no Rifts or GR’s or adventure mode, perhaps have 1 difficulty or take it back to Normal, Nightmare, Inferno and change itemization a little!
(If thats possible i dont know much about modding)

I guess im asking if we know about future mod support and also what kind of Mods for D3 would you like to see!?

I was also thinking about this today. I hope once Diablo 4 is up that they give us fans a diablo 3 that can be heavily modified. I think they would have to do this via a “remaster” with built in mod support. I guess in the end, the story is still bad no matter what they do.

because of the online only nature of diablo 3 and 4, there will never be any mods.

This^. Without offline no mods are possible.

the saddest part of d3 and the dreadest part of d4.

Diablo 4 is confirmed to be online only.

i know that, are you trying to make cry?

nah. mods are garbage anyway.

heresy… .

the only actually decent mod that ive seen is the original medion mod. and even then, it comes up short.

The only mods I have seen for D3 probably scared off everyone in authority that might have considered it. Those being the console modders making rings, amulets and weapons have three or more gems.
I imagine that’s why they may never consider an offline mode. Not because game design mods are not cool with new scenarios and maps because they are cool.

thats the problem…they learned nothing from d2.

but the comforting bliss of the bluepills tastes so much better :stuck_out_tongue:

much better than the bitter reality of the redpills.

Actually, this is not true :frowning: . Please, go play D3 on the PS4 which is also online and there is a ton of weapon and armor mods which totally ruin the game. I was a D3 player on console at the start, and switched to PC because of the mods which have overtaken the game. Trust me, you do not want mods for this game. Bots do not bother me as it does not effect my game play, but when you go play an online game and all the players have modded gear, when you have got grinded gear, there is no keeping up. If mods ever are introduced, you will see a lot of players leave this game as what is the point of grinding when you can get a modded weapon that kills a GR150 boss with one hit :rage:

there can be mods that are actually good. did you look up any of the mods for diablo 2? the medion mod is quite good.
