I wouldn’t say unkillable but yeah, you should get 250% armor without the negative effects.
And you will loose second gem slot one taken by LOD second with gem increasing healing stone gauntlets will be used in few builds rest can not sacrifice gem slot or take high cdr rolls for “super” form longest possible uptime to be immune to impairing effects
Maybe it has some use for set builds that otherwise use esoteric alteration and a defensive armor slot like aquila in the cube? For instance Rolands comes into my mind. By the way: Is the bonus provided by stone gauntlets additive or multiplicative to the bonus provided by e.g. akarath’s champion / prophet?
Additive. All % armor (and % all res) bonuses are additive.

Can confirm; I have yet to see a multiplicative %Armor, %Life, %Res increase.
Not really unkillable; on non-Crusader classes Stone Gauntlets will be worth ~60% Damage Reduction, it’s a bit less on Crusader due to Prophet. Also, you don’t have to “sacrifice” a gem as long as you don’t play Witch Doctor/Necro. Most classes can play “perma CC-Immunity” via full uptime on their transformation ability (Vengeance, WotB, Epiphany etc.).

only 1 of this can have perma cc immunity it is dh with dawn crossbow rest need set to obtain perma “super form” immortal king for barb , akhan for crussader , monk doesnt have perma cc set focused on epiphany so max cdr is 62.6 % it means about 70 % up time ,only possible solution would include orotz but it does solve as much much problems as it creates ,i think this item is good for hardcore where sacrifices it requires are bellow gains its provides
Definitely not unkillable. Look no further than Might of the Earth’s 4p and Iron Impact. Even with all of that Armor a lot of players still need BoM to survive past GR100+.
