You’re currently expecting people to post on “Diablo 3: General Discussion”… how is that not a blatant attempt to specifically limit potential input to the 15 people still playing D3? More people play D2 presently (by alot). But it isn’t obvious at all that you can even discuss D4 on any Blizz forum, since it doesn’t have its own forum on its own website.
Remember all those people offering their opinions on what they wanted in D4, on your YouTube, when the game was announced? Remember the thousands of comments you guys deleted off of the first dev update, when you stopped allowing any comments at all? Yeah, it was 100% old Diablo players talking about how they hated D3, and wanted D1 and D2 back in the form of D4.
It seems like you don’t want genuine opinions from Diablo players, but more yes-men to constantly sing your praises.
Is now really the time to chance another failure? You’ve screwed up everything you’ve done for years now. Maybe you should try actually giving the overwhelming majority what they’re asking for, rather than pretending like you can dictate what we want, and enjoy any sort of longevity. Look at your stock. Look at your present public image.
The first step is to make a forum where people actually discuss D4, rather than sifting through a sea of unrelated crap for an entirely different game. Allow us to discuss the game we’re looking forward to, instead of reading posts from people who enjoy a game that has nothing to do with the franchise.
Maybe it’s because game is still in PRE-alpha state? Maybe it has something to do with it. When game becomes a solid thing that we can talk about, only beta-testers would have that privilege anyway. Wanna talk about why it annoys you?

but it would be a more even ground and we would at least get rid of those stupid comments like “why do you keep coming into D3 forums if you dont like…”
and maybe that forum will also have more attentive community staff that will read posts and communicate with community

They want an echo chamber. D3 forum is worst when it comes to that. D4 forum will not be full of agreement with him as he thinks it will be, but I’m sure it will be better than D3 forum.
Frankly I don’t need active CMs. As long as they bring relevant info when the devs want something known I’m fine. But then I’m from a time when games just released with not much build up or knowledge before hand for the most part.
It’s nice when it happens, but it’s not something I require.
It’s going have D2 people not happy about D3 or more casual features being in the game while taking swipes at D3 player who like the direction. And some D3 players telling them to go back to D2 just like here. Only difference is there will be no D3 topic threads related to the current state of D3.
I’m pretty sure they do that regardless. It is their job. It’s not like it takes that much time to keep up with the relevant threads if you read them daily.
Blizzard doesn’t really care about their fans, everything is about money…

There is ONE thing game company’s doesn’t understand.

No. There will not be a D4 forum until the game is much closer to release. We are years out still. When it does happen, it will be for folks who have Alpha and/or Beta access.
