For the past 2 hours, i m getting drop outs every 5-10 mins and it takes long time to reconnect, so its basically unplayable, is blizzard aware of this?
Same. Code 1016. They tweeted that they fixed it but i guess not really.
3rd day of this. Which is why I’m more leaning towards this being due to more people logging in battlenet because of Wuhan virus than this being due to a DDoS attack. 3rd time, today a little later than usual and less severe, but 3rd time happening on a similar time frame. Maybe it has something to do with quest reset time also (for other games), but ‘more players logging in’ nontheless than DDoS attack.
sames guys dc sometimes I cant logineither since yesterday before never had problems but its on ur end fix the dam problems do a restart and start baning those morons who doing this tired of this too.
I think the server can’t take the mundunugu sprinkler. Yesterday had huge lags playing with one WD and after that one Sader join and with his lighting of valor it became frozen for 1-2 min haha. But i am getting 1016 for some times now like 1-2 months.
Guys 2 days and you still don’t have this fixed what are you doing? 1016 error should not still be affecting your system. are your employees supporting this issue or are they really trying to fix it? Sorry but this is extremely frustrating. I would hope you have a department devoted just to these problems . Again this is what happens when you cut back in your staff. Again I hope I am way off base here but I don’t think I am. I have been playing your games or a lot of years and am starting to loose faith.
You guys know if there was an offline mode you could play while their servers crap the bed.
It’s most likely a continued DDoS attack along the backbone your ISP routes up to Blizzards servers. There are still ongoing problems showing up on DownDetector. Dropping the zombie DDoS computers is something that will take time to fully iron out. Blizzard has to communicate with numerous ISPs to identify and isolate end user computers that are causing the problems in order to disconnect or block their traffic.
It’s a big ball of unfun.
You can join us and ask Blizzard for offline mode.
Correct. Why people think now is a good time to do DDOS attacks I don’t know. I suppose they just want to cause anger and chaos. They even attacked one of the US Gov Heath and Human services sites the other night. If they could, they would take down the whole internet and giggle at the massive disruptions it would cause.
Maybe this will get the Govt to realize our internet infrastructure is a critical function (not for gaming but for work/comms/education/Government) and get Net Neutrality back in place and improve stability overall. It is currently illegal to run DDOS attacks, but proving it and prosecuting them is not easy to do.
Some people just want to watch the world burn.
Since s20 start i had not even one problem with logging in or lags
It is not DDoS.
It is the lockdown of people suddenly at home with no place to go.
The Internet is overloaded is the problem.
It appears to be a DDoS but it is not.
In Europe, Netflix and youtube have dropped their vid quality down to address the overload of users.
Blizzard stop lying about ISP’s being DDoS’d.
It is just overload of people suffering in their homes, with nothing to do but play on the web!
Is Blizzard aware that 10 times more people are using the internet due to self quarantine? Yes, I’m sure they are. Can Blizzard do anything about the internet being bogged down? Not really.
Same thing is happening even on Overwatch. Was just playing a Comp game and 4 people on the enemy team and 3 on ours simply disappeared.
Its not just one game. And its not the game servers. The authentication servers have been having hiccups all week. What controls you logging into your account to play the game is a completely separate system from the game servers.
Not to mention, any disruption in the internet anywhere between you and said servers/services are going to cause issues. I have noticed issues with things outside of Blizzard too. So its netwide, whatever it is. It sucks sure, but its not Blizzard’s fault at this point either.
Game on.
Just got dropped twice in the last 5 minutes. No error code, just a popup saying I was disconnected. It takes me back to the character screen and I can start a new game immediately. I just can’t bloody finish it! RIP HC characters.
If you have a VPN on … try turning it off … read somewhere where IP rerouting could cause drops and performance issues.
Saturday, March 21, 9:53 pm New York time.
Still getting 1016 error’s.
The game feels like I’m walking underwater while in game.
No HC this season.
I ripped 5 times trying to level to 70 and gave up.
It’s SC this season and with so many 1016’s along the way I’m glad I switched this season.
Also, join bug is still a thing.
When 3 members of a 4 man party have left party and gone elsewhere, that data is still stuck in the server.
In order for that one man (who was in a 4 man earlier) to invite others to his/her game he must leave game and start over.
Blizzard so much work to do and it seems like there is no where to go!
Yesterday i got disconnected 3 times during GR rift. One of the time i was at the boss. I got so frustrated that i closed the game.
Best is if you play with a friend in group so when you disconnect, to join back again.
You know if we had an offline mode this wouldn’t be an issue. It’s why people like myself and many other brave members of this community stand up and demand an offline mode.
Normally when people DDoS they brag about doing it and if you’ve notice no one is bragging. It’s just blizzard’s garbage servers as always. It’s the same reason we can never enjoy a launch of a new blizzard title.
