Stash PC v Console question

Do both platforms have the same number of spaces for gear?

Now D4 is being developed is more stash space for console just never gonna happen ?

Finally, I remember reading a long time ago that stash space is actually very taxing on the game, whereas to my ‘layman’ brain it seems an easy thing to add more stash space.

It’s funny that ‘storage’ on computers is so massive but ‘storage’ in D3 is so limited.

Stash on console versions have 350 item slots of space which roughly equals 10 tabs on PC. So console players are in worse situation than PC players when it comes to stash space.

The problem with adding more stash space is that the performance suffers. For some ridiculous reason the entire stash content has to be synchronized between all players in the same session. Each individual item is treated as “an actor” and more actors means things to be handled by the old engine.

The amount data to be stored is not an issue of any kind. Never has been. The real issue is far more complex than most realize.

Thanks for the explanation…

Not to mention console inventory navigation is utter trash.

While I liked the controls better on the console, the stash management was definitely so much worse, i am glad I switched back to PC.

PC is better than console

Inventory navigation on console is efficient, fast, and even quite enjoyable. I find navigation on pc inelegant and clunky. It works however it is uninspired and reminds me I’m playing a computer game. The radial menu feels natural and provides a significantly more intimate experience with the game world. It is a genius solution that I think is often overlooked and taken for granted.

Always hated the radial dial menus. I always find myself getting frustrated due to the imprecision I feel I get when using them compared to moving my mouse. I just know I can compare gear faster, find what I’m looking for faster, and get back to playing faster when on PC compared to my Switch copy, and I’ve almost exclusively played D3 on Switch since it launched there. To each their own. I do prefer controller movement though. If they can only make ground selecting as quick and precise as a mouse.

I love that comment: “To each their own.” What’s magnificent about this game are the breadth of options and playstyles to approach it how we want…mostly.
