Start in New Tristram every time?

Hi, and a nice weekend to you all!
I am just wondering if there is a command to make me start in New Tristram every time I log in, since that is where I feel “most at home”? This is only for QoL for me.

Nope there is no way of doing that.

No, the starting town rotates every hour on PC…

No such option on PC.

This has been a requested addition for many years now. Still hasn’t been implemented and sadly it likely never will be.

Thanks for replies everyone! Looks like this case is closed then.

You and everyone else who plays adventure more. It’s the most efficient town layout and not to mention the Altar is there (in seasons of course).

Seriously, next season needs a patch that:

  • adds the Altar to non-season
  • adds Fissure to non-season
  • makes the starting town in adventure mode New Tristram. Keep the home screen rotating through the different Acts but make us start in NT every time.
  • add a warning for the crafted primal cube recipe that you can only equip one crafted primal at a time on each character

I can’t think of an easier way than this for dramatically improving QoL and letting the game fade into maintenance mode on a big WIN.

Thanks to you too! I would really hope that Blizzard could add this in a future patch. Your suggestions seem really great!

You could always start your game and if you’re not in Act I open the Map, click on Act I and click on the New Tristram Waypoint.

I believe the changing of the starting towns in Adventure Mode is a holdover from a time when we had Bonus Acts that gave us 2 Bounty Caches on completion. One Large and one small.

Eventually, Blizzard removed the Bonus Acts and combined both Caches into one Large Bounty Cache for all Acts. Now we can do any Bounties in any Act in any order based on which Bounty Mats we need most.

The worst part is, A3 and A4 are the same town, so you are twice as likely to start in that town as you are in A1, A2, A5.

Please add this Blizz.

Yup. That is what I do, but thanks for reply.

When I play I always use NT, however there are times when having the start in a different act are beneficial such as…

Starting in Act 5 when you are looking for cursed peat.
Starting in Act 3 when you are farming the GG.
Starting in Act 2 when farming Liquid Rainbow.

I will sometimes wait for the hourly change to see if one of the above is the start town before attempting those activities.

That said. I would love to have an option to set an act as the always start in location. And be able to change that as desired.

That would be optimal. It would be a simple add too. Just put a check box in the options and done.

Implementing an option box to pick which act you want to start in would require UI changes, which they’re unlikely to do. However, implementing something as simple as starting in the same town you exited the game from would accomplish the same thing.

This would be a very smart way of implementing things. That way people can start in what ever town they wish to.

Just like on console versions.

Really the worst part that it is the worst town with all vendors on the different edges of big map

Only if you log out in New Tristram. Or maybe this is a console feature.

I always start in the act that I select, it asks when you choose your game setting/mode

This might be a console thing though. Console version is better.

If it happens on console, it is a console only feature.

On PC, at the top of every hour, a new start town is randomly selected between A1, A2, A3, A4, A5. This a legacy feature from when we had “bonus” acts.
