I am confused by the power:
" New Legendary Power: While not taking damage, your damage is increased by up to 100% and damage taken is increased by up to 50%"
This damage reduction… only work against 1 attack right?
Or should it be used with, say, Wizard’s shield, making them more efficient?
This season does seem exciting to try!
definitely a typo.
" New Legendary Power: While not taking damage, your damage is increased by up to 100% . (full stop)
If what they said was intended, it totally makes no sense and also limiting this ammy to non hardcore. Players will get 1 shotted and lose their hardcore character if “damage taken is increased by up to 50%”
What damage reduction?
It says “damage INCREASED”.
Lol who in their right mind would use that crap?
I enjoy playing glass canon builds. It’s going to be a lot of fun to use on a softcore multishot Demon Hunter using the Unhallowed Essence set.
I’m liking all the new changes on the new patch. I’m going to try and break my Heroes of the Storm addiction and play Diablo 3 full time in Season 18.
Any word on whether or not there will be a 14th stash tab that we can earn by completing the seasonal journey. Or is it too soon to know that?

We know.
4 new tab have been made available last season.
so a new one to gain this season and the next two as well!
Ooopsie…
How I misread that!
This … is … so… mmmm… unexpected…

You misread that. The tab made available in s17 extend the previous tab cap from 4 to 5. So if you unlocked 0 tabs from previous season, 1 in s17, you still have 4 seasons of tabs to unlock. But if you already unlocked 4 tabs before s17, in s17 you gain +1 = total of 5 tabs and you are maxed out.
In short, s17 didnt unlock 4 more tabs… it unlocks 1 extra tab.
" * The cap for earning additional stash tabs through the Season Journey has been raised from 4 to 5 (PC Only)"

Losing the 100% dmg buff when you get hit is ridiculous, The right way to do it is to simply add 100% dmg AT ALL TIME and increase incoming damage by 50%, PERIOD.

Actually that amulet is working as intended. In making people really have to think about whether including it is really worth it or not. haha
Still, its a buff if you play a pure glass cannon build that you can’t let get hit anyway.
Game on.
Or if you have some way to negate damage like the shield from Gizzard. We’re discussing a build on the DH forums that tries to take full advantage of the Gizzard Shield. With my set-up, my shield is nearly always up, which means Squirt’s is nearly always active. It drops on from frozen affix, anarch charges, and some rift guardian ground effects.
Added benefit, the shield lets me take advantage of the season theme. Currently, rank 67 on the DH leader boards.
Found out, that a lot of your sheet toughness doesn’t effect your shield, since the sheet takes into account how much life you have. To pump up the toughness of your shield, you have to roll off vit on a lot items and replace it with a stat like all resist, life regen, or armor. Anyway, the shield is pretty tough even though as a result I only have about 241,000 life and sheet toughness is only 128 million (249 with evasive fire).
Anyway, the point is, I think just trying to dodge stuff is good, but a little help when you do get hit goes a long way.

Damn, 4 primal items on that build already???
Funnily, the Yang’s and DML I just got yesterday. I was re-forging a DML and within 2 rolls got the Primal. Re-forged my Yang’s next and three rolls later, it was Primal too. I was tempted to make another “My Lucky Day” post, lol.

I find out that I seem to be getting lots of rifts that seem to be made to counter the necklace.
Not sure if your build with that gem counters them since it seems like a lot of unavoidable damage. Well not all of it is unavoidable, but sure feels like it.
Like frozen, thunderstorm etc. Also lots of Act 2 poison foes that are just everywhere.
In T16 it is working just fine, but on GR’s I sometimes feel like switching to my hellfire.
Frozen and Accursed are the bane of the build. You have to have a lot of damage, which is where the season theme comes in handy. Hop into an oculus ring or power ring and the mobs are gone. Have to wait for the poison to fade a lot. But I’m running Grift 95 in about 5 minutes, 7 minutes if it’s an accursed map. Pushing, it’s best just to reset the Grift if you get accursed. My RNG has been pretty good though. Seems when I’m pushing, the accursed mobs are rarer, than when I’m speed farming.

Well, I finally got around to changing my UE multishot build to include Squirt.
Holy F.

Keep in mind, I’m also rolling 45% to MS on top of this. I still need to find a better quality helm, but with similar stats. I dropped the helm that provided the dark heart rune for Vengeance (toughness), since this is a full glass build anyway, more or less defense isn’t going to make a difference above GR90. And I haven’t pushed it yet, but was clearing up to 100 well enough before the change. I’m not a top player by any means, and am quite sure some of you can run this exact character higher than I could, but that’s ok.
Just wanted to update that the change was impressive. Probably gained 5-6GRs with the change if I was guessing.
Game on.
