The Arachyr’s set sounds like its key feature should be about spiders and it two-peice bonus does just that but feels sub-par and so I suggest this idea. Let change Spider queen grasp. Instead of its current main legendary ability: “Gain the spider queen rune and every second summons 4 spiders that last till the queen dies”, "Another suggestion the spiders last the normal amount duration or double duration with a reasonable damage boost.
I am not sure if the spiders count as a pet. If they don’t then how about another item that boosts the damage or boosts the number of spiders.
As for playstyle, I would say choose corpse spiders for the main skill with the rune is leaping spiders. Locust swarm, spirit walk, haunt/horrify, Hex, piranhas. My hope for this playstyle to equal that of the current Arachyr’s play style with fire bat playstyle.
Unfortunately, Arachyr’s is the WD’s weakest set, and only firebats has the power boost from its associated legendaries to make it halfway useful. Spider Queen does benefit from pet damage, but its not enough. Spiders would need better legendaries in order to work.
Yes I know and that is why I am asking for them to actually change the legendary affix on spider queen grasp so it is actually useful to higher level play. There would need be a second item modified or made to help boost the corpse spider damage most likely.
Lastly this will be a good thing as it will help differentiate Helltooth and Arachyr’s sets. Since both are pretty much same since both sets increases fire bats damage with the Staff of Chiroptera and Bakuli Jungle Wraps. This means no one who wants to see how far they can go choose anything but fire bats. I asking for more versatility
