When I start my game, I have a constant noise in the game. I don’t have that anywhere else, this only in diablo 3, in other games i didnt have the problem. I have also updated all my drivers and nothing changed.
Can you describe this noise? There is an additional noise in rifts that I hear that sounds like wailing in the background, but I think that is just part of the season theme.
It is a high, shrill and grumpy sound. Which is permanent in the main menu and also in the game
That certainly does not sound normal.
The only other thing I can think to try is to run a scan and repair by clicking the cog icon beside the play button in the launcher.
That didn’t change anything. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game, also did not bring anything.
This sounds more like a tech support issue than a game bug. Might want to move this to the Tech Support forum, and provide a DxDiag lisiting.
Where is the noise coming from ? the headphones (or speakers) ? inside the computer case ? elsewhere ?
If you increase the sound level in your headphones / speakers, does that noise get louder ?
If you shut off or unplug the headphones / speakers, can you still hear the noise ?
Have you measured the temperature in your case, of the CPU, of the GPU ? could the noise come from fans ? A good tool to display the temperatures and other related status is HWMonitor – see Checking for Overheating Components - Blizzard Support .
Just a few ideas somewhat different than proposed by others…
I can know the problem you’re having because it happens to me too, it’s been that way since the beginning of season 25, but it still has that stupid sound. if u find a way to fix it, please tell me too…
Got a new PC today, since then i have that white noise in the game too. All other games, music, movies, etc. i got no problems, only in D3. I repaired/scanned the files, nothing changed.
Is there any solution for this yet?
I am also having this issue. New PC, every other sound is just fine but I can’t even get into the game because in the menu area the high pitched squeal is untenable
After some brief testing, at least some of the sound is coming from the ambient sounds, but there’s another persistent, high pitch that comes from some other sound entirely. Then the audio in the game is garbled and low quality, like how film makers use slow sound to depict someone passing out from getting sedated.
