Something they should do for SSF

Once you unlock it on the altar, it would be nice if you could drop magic and rares(that you accidentally picked up) on the ground and have your pet salvage them. Since there is no one to trade with, this would be a nice feature.

I can’t believe people actually play that mode in an always online game

SSF is a great addition to the game wanted by lots of players. I have played it myself several seasons.
Accidentally picking up the “wrong” stuff is usually quite rare (!) and not a big deal. Using a floating/flying pet is sometimes recommended… and then being careful about what we click on

To the OP:
Well I played 4 seasons in SSF. Yes sometimes you pick a white/blue/yellow item. It"s the same on “normal”. Do you really trade these kinds of items with other players before SSF?
I don’t think so, so SSF or not… Pointless request.

To SuperCuddles:
I’m already expecting personal attacks, but I’m used to it.
I’ve been playing D3 since day one. I’ve spent more time solo than multiplayer.
A rough estimate would be 95% solo and 5% multiplayer (at worst, 90% and 10% in multiplayer to help other players).

Don’t judge other players by the way you play.

It is funny to make that statement.
I used to play live D&D with a group. We would always get a few people that did not play well with others. Go off by themselves, on side quests or not share or just do the Leroy Jenkins thing.

I played with a group here for years, good friends came and went. After so long playing, all my close friends are playing other games and the ones left are less fun to share the experience with.

So, going the solo route, is more enjoyable and less stressful to me.
To each (in group and by themselves) their own.

Thanks,

I enjoy playing by myself while chatting to others in the game, this goes for many other games i play

This mode officially supports that style of playing, AND gives me a fairer competition on the leaderboard

I don’t see how that’s in any way weird

And to the OP: While i get the idea because i also get a bit annoyed accidentally picking stuff up off the floor

Adding this might be a bad idea incase you ever do want to pick things up or craft them and then drop them on the floor to save time, which is something i do a lot

I think just tweaking the pets priority system for what it picks up to focus on items before gold or deaths breaths would solve the issue of accidentally picking up items a lot, which is a suggestion ive made in the passed

We already had that mode in the game before they came out with it.
If people want to play by themselves. There are 3 ways to do that.

  1. Go into option and into social uncheck the 2 boxes where people can’t join.
  2. Play in Off Line Mode.
  3. Change it to Away or Busy.

There is really no rewards for playing solo mode vs any other mode. Yes there is only one reward for playing solo. If you play in reg mode you can get a stash space & one in solo. So you can get 2 stash spaces in one season. Other than that nothing else.

I did play it on the first season it came out. To me it is really a waste of time. We really didn’t need that mode. But so many people cried for a solo mode they gave them one. But we already had one. LOL

Where in the game does it say you have to play in a group or public games.

You can already do that without SSF is kinda my point…it’s like willingly locking yourself in a cage instead of simply entering a cage yourself and leaving it unlocked should you ever change your mind that maybe you don’t want to be locked in a cage.

The reason why is because the leaderboards. Playing solo and competing against those that play exclusively grouped with all the perks was just not fair. So that is why we have SSF.

Ah yes, the leaderboards in the 2025 game Diablo 3

If your implication that LB’s aren’t a big deal is correct, then why do people bot them so much?

EDIT: I’m also wondering why people like Darkness keep posting videos of top players clearing record 150’s. I mean, it’s a decades-old game, right? “Who cares,” right?

For that matter, why do you care? What keeps you coming back here, to this game, in 2025? Genuine question because your attitude kind of reminds me of extroverts who keep telling introverts to “leave our comfort zone.” Instead, perhaps you should make the zone more comfortable…

I can’t speak for him, but I come back to play with my friends & clan. I have play for 13yrs and played all the seasons. This game is just not about the leader-board.

But this what people turn it into!!! But I have to agree with him on the leader-board in 2025. We are what playing basically a rerun TV show. The top people have been here for more than 10yrs.

So how many times do you want to be on top of the leader-board. Yes people can play for their goal in the game. But don’t waste any time doing the leader-board, season journey or even trying to finish the altar. Just here to play and enjoy helping friends & clan members

Not speaking for him, but LBs are meaningless. If someone wants to “try and top them”, I wish them the best trying to ice skate uphill. Any LBs full of cheaters are nothing glorious. People bot them because they’re allowed to. Not sure what glory they find in botting a game this old for that reason. It reminds me of those guys who back in 1990 used to brag about their high scores on Nintendo games just as the Game Genie became prevalent.

Many of us keep coming back here because we enjoy the game still. We can simply look past the LBs as a phantom. It exists, but it’s not really there.

Any big gaming forum or discord I’m in… anyone at all mentions they are or were high ranked in a Diablo leaderboard, they’ll get a “thumbs up cool… I guess?” response.

I agree “Since there is no one to trade with, this would be a nice feature.”

Your mistake is thinking I care. I was replying to someone else who cares.

Funny enough though I was just leveling my gems on WD and got like #500 on no set leaderboard without even trying or realizing how low the clears are for that. I can only imagine how easy it’ll be to get top 50 once I augment my gear and finish leveling my gems and actually trying. Not that I care though, of course.

I also think you are conflating botting and caring. People who bot only cheat themselves. Anything they achieve is null and void and shouldn’t be taken into consideration.

Non-cheaters know that they only cheat themselves, but unfortunately, they believe in their minds that they’re great.

One game I played where botting will benefit you FAR more than this. Those in that game who do it often refer to themselves as “elite” or “top tier” players. These guys have character points akin to paragon but far stronger as well as gear that they all obtained while AFK. They condescend others who have 1% of their play time (because they’re legit).

As long as they’re able to get away with it, they’ll continue doing it. Same reason there are career criminals.

I liked the paragon capped season that let you put points wherever like all area damage etc. That was really clever i thought. Maybe cap it at 1000. Non cap normal points can be normal seasonal

Several were not fans of that season, especially the botters.

I’m personally a fan of having caps on stuff like that, but when you begin with unlimited then try to limit something, it doesn’t usually pan out well. It could have in this case but it was just very poorly executed.

this would just be for SSF players. botters can play normal season as usual
