Solo Self Found (SSF) for S22, PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN!

But does it really? If we all play in compartmentalized game modes without the possibility of going back and forth between them?

What do you mean by that? Why should one player account be bound to one mode?

Sorry, I wasn’t clear.

Of course you should be able to, but as I understand the proposal here, you would not be able to play the same character in different modes. How many people do you think will level up and gear characters in different game modes? I certainly wouldn’t.

Even so, this discussion won’t change Diablo 3 at all, and I also believe the actual number of people who want this is quite low.

Let’s see then… PoE has different modes, so I just posted a thread there:

Ever hear of PoE, the mode works and there are enough people that want it.

It is easy to implement, a small town game was able to add it at ease nearly 10 years ago on 1/10000000 of the budget.

The bottom line is that a game company should always add in game modes that are clearly desired by the playerbase. To not do so is development suicide, and we all saw the launch of D3.

I play PoE quite a bit. I level in both standard and hardcore trade league, and I also push a bit harder in Standard SSF.

Will be curious to see what others say.

Blizzard doesn’t have or access PoE data at all, so I don’t know why do you bring that up. All I know that they have enough data to concluded that D3 SSF isn’t worth the effort and time to do it, which is a reality.

Mind to show me your qualification as a computer programming or software developer? If you can’t show any of this, sorry, I don’t trust your claim. It is easy to talk big and claim big on the Internet.

Not for the game that the sequel is already in development. They didn’t do anything to D2 after D3 was developed and why would you expect the same will happen here?

Major change?? What. Literally they just disable your multiplayer function when clicking new season SSf button. Like in POE. Thats it. Everything can stay the same. You just cant invite or go public. Thing is options are allready there to just use. U can choose to open public or private. U can choose if your game may be quick joined. No. Bliz can make ssf button with ease and little effort. Same as seperate Hardcore leaderboard.

I would rather have an actual season theme rather than a slowed down game mode that only a marginal sliver of the playerbase would play for a meaningful amount of time.

Also, Negator, i had to open the dictionary twice reading your posts. I love your rich vocabulary (actual compliment, not sarcastic).

What’s wrong with that? You can always play the faster progression mode if you want…

“literally just” is always so simple as long as you have no actual clue about implementation details.

I bet D3 would gain SSF the first week modding is available.

Yes, if you don’t want to compete, but not if you do.

Let it be known that i don’t argue against an SSF mode per se.
I argue against the next content we get be ONLY SSF.

D3 resources are drained dry, at least to my knowledge. The only way adding SSF (a playerbase splitter if succesful, a waste of resources if not) would be worth it is by coming alongside something else for those uninterested, and i…doubt that is possible right now.

Which brings you back to square one, not knowing how much resources would be required to make modding available.

D3 is done with or without SSF. The only salvation D3 has is making it free to play and releasing it to the public for modding.

if you play a solo self found league, you play SOLO. you are not competing. if you want a way to have a solo Mode where you can compete vs other people let me save you time, the player that has more free time will win that league

Yes, except in cases the time played is logged and compared. Or races are made (like in PoE).

pointless Diablo 3 is not Path of Exile. the guy that play more have more paragon and sipmply do more damage, always will win the guy that play more. i get wath you mean but it wont happen, the dont add pets picking crafting materials that has been requested many many many times, they wont add a new game mode that has a lot more complexity
