when playing a whirly barb, the character often -and regularly - slows way down while the game and party characters continue to move at normal speed…this usually results in death.
this is occurring only with the Barb/normal/season 20, and not with other seasonal characters.
any help/suggestions appreciated -
You have Stone Gauntlets in the Cube.
Getting hit increases your armor by 50%, but reduces your movement speed by 15% and attack speed by 20%. This effect stacks up to 5 times.
So, at 5 stacks your movement is slowed by 75% and your attack speed is reduced by 100%. To prevent the slowing effects, you need to do one of these things…

I’m personally not a fan of stone gauntlets because while it offers the strongest defense for beginners, you really have to maintain 100% up-time on wrath for it to work as pointed out above - and that is not an easy thing for beginners.
Use Band of Might instead - more practical and just as good as Stone Gaunts.
Even better, in fact! 80% DR for BoM vs around 70%, at most, from SG. That’s like having SG and then having another 33% source of reduction on top.
