Skill Trees from other games that could work in D4

I have gone back and played some, Warhammer 40,000 Inquisitor - Martyr and the skill tree has somethings going for it that could be nice.
It even has an area for movement speed, as well as their Path system if expanded on it could be used for the ADA Powers.

As long as you Disregard the damage values and class bases used, just looking at the way it’s setup, I think something like this could be good in D4.

Doing it this way lets you see at a glance what skills are open to be selected, as well as the ones you have points in.
On the right is the expanded view if the talents and some of them have different start points so you can specialize it’s function.

EDIT

I could not find a pic of the move speed tree, Ill try to link a screen grab later.
After I logged back in I looked at the way Move Speed skill tree is handled.

This skill tree has two starting points, more ways to customize, I’ll only elaborate on one of them.

First chain starts with

  • +2% ms
  • 5 damage reduction when moving for 2 sec
  • +2% ms
  • +2% ms - then a side option of +10% when not in Combat.
    back to the main tree.
  • Immunity to Slow, Stun, Shock and Freeze.
  • +2% ms
Then branches off 3 more ways, one leads to the mid point of the skill,
  • +2% ms
  • hits taken reduce the remaining cooldown of skills with at least 1 sec cooldown by % of damage taken by that hit.
This branch leads back to the other start point.
The other two are as follows.
After using a Movement skill 3% damage reduction for 10 Sec stacks 3 times.
3% Crit Chance and +5 Crit Str when no damage taken for 3 sec.

The Immunity takes 5 points to get to not something you may do at low level or 6 points if you want the non-combat speed boost.

So just looking at this half of the move-speed skill tree we can see how it could get some interesting build options going, the bonuses will need to be reworked for the Diablo frame work
