Sir William - Whimsyshire

Probably a stupid post but I am just curious if anyone has ever gotten Sir William twice in Whimsyshire?

I literally got Sir William in Whimsyshire a week ago after about 3 weeks of farming and I didn’t even realize I killed him in that particular run. I was tabbing in and out posting on the forums and got disconnected from the game. I looked at my chat log and seen I killed Sir William but I was already disconnected as I was tabbed out for about 30 minutes. Despite looking up the information several times a couple months ago, I literally thought he was achievement based for the portrait frame. I then looked up the information again and found out that he drops a scroll to earn the portrait frame.

I feel like I screwed myself out of ever seeing him again, but I keep running over and over again with no luck. I have probably done twice the runs already and still no luck lol.

Maybe Blizzard should make cosmetics, despite how they drop or are earned, one specific color and sound to ensure that players do not miss these items? Like, make them have a similar effect as primal/ethereal drops but a different color? I am kicking myself in the a** right now as I am someone who is typical extremely attentive to detail, lol :neutral_face:

This is a really good idea, to be honest. We have had years of sadness over missing a cosmetic esp the super rare ones.

I hear purple or violet is a popular color here lately. Heh. Maybe that.

Note - MVPs are other players so I don’t speak for Blizz.

It’s unfortunate you missed it, but you’ll get it again eventually. It drops as a white item if I recall correctly, so you really do have to watch for it.

This is a great suggestion! All the pets from the Menagerist goblin are white drops, even if the scrolls had a beam that shoots up would be helpful.

There was a time when if you had the puzzle ring in a ring slot, the goblin spawned would pick them up (as they collect white items) and you lost the achievement. I ‘believe’ this issue was resolved a long time ago.
