Season 29 will be the last unique season we get. Afterwards Blizzard will rerun old seasons.
What are your hopes and wishes for S29?
Mine: 1. Any balance change or themed mechanic, that makes Fist of Heavens Crusader a viable build for pushing greater rifts.
2. Return of the Altar. even better make it somehow permanent for the non season realm.
3. Buffs to Corpselance Necros. Make it a viable build again
With it being the last full season, I just want something that will improve the overall state of the game.
Pretty sure I’ve posted these at nauseam across other threads but mine aren’t season specific, just what I think needs to happen for the next patch:
More stash space. Just 2 more tabs without having to jump through hoops would be good… just to make the third page of the stash complete.
More character slots. Again, another 2 character slots that we can just use straight up for S29 would be nice. It’s getting annoying playing stash tetris just to free up characters for rebirthing.
If they are to make the Altar permanent in NS, I would want to see it unlocked by completing, say, a GR110. Though, I personally only want to see the QoL additions made permanent… the power creep is too much for NS. The LBs would all be GR150 time attacks which will kill the game faster.
Season 29: Season of Enough Stash.
Jay Wilson comes back for 1 PTR cycle, takes our existing stash, and then doubles it.
LOL.

This is the funniest thing I have seen this week. I needed that after reading the toxic D4 forum. 
The balance adjustment is much more important than the theme of the S29. I hope Devs can focus on the balance adjustment. Just make the theme of the Season 29 simple, such as the Infinite Rift Keys.
Both the Invoker and Fist of The Heaven need to be buffed:The Thorns gameplay is not particularly impressive in D3, while the FoTH’s buff is proposed by a large number of players.
Make sentries proc the Hellcat belt, and give M6 more toughness.

For season, a recycled Altar with adjusted nodes. I can see them baking in old season nodes: Free LoN, Free RoRG, Ethereal items can now drop, a goblin will spawn when you activate a shrine, potions that spawn Twisters, Shadow Clones, etc.
As for other realistic things to include in the patch notes:

Wholesale balance patch that increases the power of underperforming builds as defined by non-season leaderboards.

Full altar to nonseason. At least 5 more characterslots. Remove all useless legendaries from the game. Remove 2 worst sets per class. Buff LoD gem. Return of season 27 theme. Delete area damage from the game and replace it with damage buff. Buff solo.
Wouldn’t you rather want them to rework/rebalance the 2 worst sets per class.
Often it’s just a numbers game, Wudijo amonng others often tells them how war a build is behind and how much of an increase these would need. Would be a rather easy fix to adjust some numbers.
Removing it straight up removes available builds.
For legendaries it’s more complicated, here I understand that you’d rather have them removed to not clutter the useable gear pool
Nah. I want 2 sets removed to cure the stash space issue.
Don’t save anything related to those two sets. Problem solved.
There are several sets that I don’t like to play. I don’t save them.
Not good enough. What if they buff those sets in the future?

To op it would be a nice surprise if that happened but seeing how the ongoing turbulence around the latest release I highly doubt it unless season 28 is prolonged beyond any previous long season.
