Hello, I was hoping to maybe get some help regarding some sever latency issues I’ve been having the past two days. Every time I attempt to play I experience a ping usually between 500-1000. The lowest I have seen it is about 200, though that is rare.
I tried flushing my dns as someone suggested and also running without the bnet launcher but this did nothing. My latency in wow classic is 11ms. I know those are probably seperate servers but it is my thinking that this problem is not on my end because of this?
Is there anything else I can do or is anyone else having this problem? Thanks.
I live in Illinois btw.
There are some data lost at las-b3-link.telia.net and continue down the stream.
That means some problem at telia.net or between pldt.net (your ISP?).
You need to contact your ISP to investigate the problem, I think, because it is an internet issue.
Seems you are living in South East Asia and trying to connect to North America server (24.105.30.129). But as I understand, the nearest Americas server for SEA is located in Australia (103.4.115.248).
In case you don’t know how to force launcher to connect you to AU server, you need to enter an additional argument on the settings:
It looks like the Telia backbone that the ISP uses to connect the local game client to our servers is encountering what’s called Packet Loss. You may need to reach out to the ISP and let them know that Telia is having issues so they can reach out to their peer network.
Keep in mind that this is a problem that is NOT within the ISPs own network. They will likely tell you the same. Just make sure to express that the issue needs to be escalated to a Tier 2 or Tier 3 agent who can reach out to peer networks such as Telia.
