2.) make them better and add dungeons for fifth sets

If that’s the case you should know how to get one done every season in less than 5 mins, so it’s not like it’s a major issue.
The seasonal journal is already easy as hell…removing the Set dungeon will make it even easier.
If anything, they should move the set dungeon journal to Guardian.
Just another thing that is not much fun to do, just as doing bounties and get keys on T16. Set dungeons as are do not really fit game for years already. Nor are they in any way connected to how you play your sets and need gimping your build heavily.
Now no need to remove them from game or achievements, but at least remove them from season journey and add something more fun or useful to do there. Add reaching EN 140 solo for example if fix the HC problem. It is not like season journey could not some updates and being brought in line with power creep anyway and a few T’s can be upped on requirements/
That’s going full tilt in the other direction, from (to) easy for everyone to making it unobtainable for most.

Now no need to overdo it and I just made it EN 140 solo, because everyone complains how easy EN is Yeah 140 is bit high, on other hand 100 would be bit too easy, season journey is not unreasonable to take a month for an average solo player to clear and balance it around that…
Sure, now you can complete by the end of release weekend, but it has always been tuned towards fairly easy for anyone to complete, making it an top end thing from that is just a bad idea all around.
I would not consider the last few tabs to take a month for the average solo player as high end. Just it became way too easy now, conquest at T10, while even your average solo player will speedrun above GR80 in a few weeks?
No set at GR 45? Ubers at that low a level and so on.
Season journey should incentive a player to learn the games mechanics, without being overly punishing but do need some understanding of them.
Set dungeons do exact opposite of teaching you current game mechanics, so def should no longer be part of the journey.
Solo 140 is high end, which was your initial suggestion.
That was not really ever the case though.
If they had added it with original ROS it would have been pretty challenging , but yeah they were always bit low for meta players, less so for solo players. Nowadays they are extreme easy even for pure solo players if you know what you do.
Like I already explained that EN 140 solo was also a bit of a snipe against those complaining EN super easy.
Well, they are, the pylons carry you to 150+ every time if you for some reason want to do that instead of just going for 125.
Then why would EN 140 solo be too hard for Season journey if so easy, as long as you remove the problem for HC if they have to go high? (OFC there is a major difference soloing or doing group EN and yeah amount of reaching solo 140 is way lower as in group if you even had any reason to go past 125 anyway now).
It is the season journey, not the seasons dash. Reasonable someone would be around paragon 1000 before completing it as a solo player. My opinion, you are allowed to disagree.
The biggest problem what i see is that set dungeons doesn’t reflect the sets anymore. Sets gained power and reworked mechanics, while set dungeons remained the same. Some set dungeons are undoable because you have too much dmg. That’s rediculous.
All are doable as of now, some does require you to gimp yourself by unequipping slots in addition to remove paragons.
That’s the thing, none of them should require gimping oneself. The fact that many of them do is a massive design fail.
And that’s on top of the failure to reflect how the sets are actually utilized in builds.

Never said it wasn’t, but there’s a difference between “undoable” and “doable by jumping trough hoops”.

I have one solution.
Put up with a set dungeon for 5 minutes out of a 4 month long season.
You are not forced to do anything. If you want the crappy pets, yes, you need to spend 5 minutes out of 3-5 months to get it. If you want to get the stash tabs, yes, you have to do 4 set dungeons total (20 minutes) out of your entire life. If you do not like them, simple, don’t do them.
This is something that should be addressed. There are several aspects of this game that are horribly outdated or horribly designed (ubers, set dungeons, challenge rifts, Conquests, campaign). Rather focusing all their design efforts trying to balance sets (something they are bad to terrible at), it would be nice if once in a while they fixed some of these broken parts of the game.
