Servers down? Error 317002?

I was playing, decided to switch characters, then this error pops up, now I can’t play at all?

Same here. Changed characters…now cannot get back in on ANY character. Oh well.

My Season characters can log in and make new games without an issue. Only getting this error on the non-season characters… Which is where I wanted to be because i’m done my darn season already!

Hey all,

There’s some back-end server maintenance going on that would have caused this. Try connecting again if you haven’t already.

I am getting error as of right now 1:56 PM Pac time on 8-4-21. It’s only doing this with seasonal characters. I can load in my non-seasonal characters just fine.

Still Down. Whats the status/eta on a fix?

“There was a problem creating a game. The game servers for your game mode may be unavailable at this time. Please make sure you have the latest Diablo III client by restarting or try again later. (Code 317002)”

I am able to log into my non seasonal. But unable to create a seasonal game.

Indeed. No announcement or nothing. All we get is a message in chat window saying server reset countdown. Then when I do leave the game to start a new one, there is no other server available. What gives, Blizzard?!! I even restarted client and still the same thing.

Error 317002 when trying to start a solo game whether it be bounties, rift or GR and Error 3000 when trying to join a pub bounties game.

Edit: if a client update is required then this is crap coordination. None available when this error occurred.
