Seasonal cant play with other seasonal

I have re-installed D3 on my new PC. I have not played on PC in several years(played this season and Season 16 on switch actually, but decided to try PC again for a little bit)

I seem to be unable to go into game with other seasonal characters. I made a fresh new seasonal toon but in two seperate instances, i was unable to go into game with other seasonal characters to be powerleveled. Am i completely missing something here?

What usually fixes it is switching characters, then back to the one you want to play. Sometimes you both need to do it.
