Season journey item bug

Hello I’m probably missing one gem recipe. I can’t complete
Chapter IV
( JUST LOOK AT YOU! )
Learn 5 Jewelcrafting Recipes.
Hope you can help to resolve this ASAP?
Thank you!

There is no bug here. You need to acquire the jewelcrafting recipes. Either you can do bounties (recipe will drop from cache) or buy some from Squirt the Peddler in Act II if you have some extra gold early on. You’d need Hellfire Amulet recipe anyway for further Season’s Journey goal (that’s 3 count). If you can’t afford the gold just yet, do bounties. You’d need the mats and Ring of Royal Grandeur.

As League stated, you can get the Gem Designs from Bounty Caches. They will also drop from Odious Collectors (green Goblins).

And when you can afford 5 million Gold to buy the Design: Hellfire Amulet from Squirt the Peddler in Act II, that counts as 3 Designs.

  1. Hellfire Amulet of Intelligence
  2. Hellfire Amulet of Dexterity
  3. Hellfire Amulet of Strength

Just from teaching Shen the Jeweler 1 Design.

I am unable to complete the Season 21 Level IV- Just Look At You! achievement. I have given over 10 jewelry recipes to the jeweler. I’ve completed the 5 bounties on expert, torment 1 and torment 4 and it still does not register even 1 toward the achievement of learning 5 jewel crafting recipes. Please tell me what I am doing wrong. Yes, my jeweler is upgraded fully to 12.

Check back at the jeweler and open show all. See if he has learned any Royal or Flawless Royall recipes.
If not, look in your stash.
The recipes don’t always drop from bounties and usually not at all before level 70… You may have to run more or hit a friendly goblin.
Also see above post about Hellfire plans.

I looked you up in the armory and the jewelcrafter is not showing up. Go to campaign mode, Act II quest “Blood and Sand” to recruit him (I believe it must be done once per account). Finish that one quest and go back to adventure mode, see if you have the achievement then? It’s a rather short quest, do it in normal if you’re in a hurry.

No, it is unnecessary to do this in adventure mode, and in season. Jeweller is always unlocked.

Poster’s problem isn’t on jeweller, just the recipes.

I think yessquire had posted a good suggestion for trying.

yessquire has a great solution if OP is incorrect about what he has done. OP said jeweler is level 12 and he had taught jeweler over 10 recipes already. If true, the jeweler is obviously “unlocked” but still isn’t showing up in armory at all. Could be an armory thing, I know it’s not updated regularly. It may be unnecessary for adventure/seasonal, but if jeweler is recruited in campaign mode I believe he will at least show up and that may fix the problem.

I could be wrong about this, but I believe Jeweler Designs don’t drop until:

  1. You’re at least Level 61 (when Death’s Breaths begin to drop).
  2. And the Jeweler is Level 12.

That would be the Odious Collectors (green Goblins).

Where are you looking? I see all three Artisans unlocked and Level 12 in Normal Mode. (OP has no Hardcore Characters). Also, they have not completed any non-Season Campaign Acts. So, I assume their Artisans were unlocked in Seasons.

Many new players done season without doing campaign at all. So, recruiting jeweller in campaign mode really doesn’t matter.

The Armory page just shows the progress of campaign mode, that explains everything.

Yessquire’s post wasn’t a solution, just a verification step to ensure he had really learned the recipes.

Sorry, it wasn’t OP, it was the person that continued the thread 3 months later

That’s what I’m thinking too.

According to this statement, Bubblehead did 3 rounds of bounties. Jewel plans might not start dropping at all.

I had to run many rounds to get all 10 recipes.

I’m not saying it’s otherwise, I am looking for a workaround if it really is a bug, and with the assumption that the poster did in fact do what he said. It never hurts to double-check what we think we’ve done.

It is NOT a bug.

I have completed the Season Journey on the Asia, Europe and Americas Regions for the last few Seasons. I have never had a problem getting all the Jeweler Designs. You just have to continue running Bounties at Level 61 through Level 70 with the Jeweler at Level 12. (And kill those green Goblins whenever you get the chance).

He said none of the 10 registered towards the achieve. Strange.

That’s probably because they’re right-clicking them with their Stash open instead of right-clicking them at Shen the Jeweler.

I LOL’d :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, I’ve never had a problem with it on any of my characters either. IDK if his is a new account or a second account or what, been getting hung up on having “taught over 10 recipes” and having none of them register - open stash makes a lot of sense which brings it back to yessquire’s excellent advice.
