Season 35 Relative Build Power

Rage13139 in Reddit has posted a write up for anticipated build strengths relative to each other with a few assumptions given how different D3 is now from back in season 19.

Yeah, I’d take that list with a huge grain of salt given what Rage says to open the post, something about “there is no good data to compare between Season 19 and the game we have now.”

I’ll take the comparison between Nat’s projected performance and the GoD Set.

Back in Season 19, Nat’s was only good if you mixed it with Marauder’s which made it the top DH build for many seasons because it gave your Sentries a 14,000 or 16,000 percent bonus when they fired your spenders and so the set was a lot more mobile back then. Now, Nat’s can hardly fit a mobility skill on the bar if you happen to Smoke Screen/Displacement over Smoke Screen/Lingering Fog. Keeping up the Kill Streak with a set that has limited movement and plays in melee to do damage will be extremely difficult.

Now to GoD, the set didn’t exist at all in Season 19. It has extreme mobility but the limited pierce count of Ninth Cirri Satchel makes it weak when you gather pulls that are too big. But you should still be able to kill a few smaller enemies in huge pulls to the Kill Streak counter going. And the speed will allow you to travel between packs and hitting enemies along the way fairly easily.

Yet, their standings have Nat’s being a top build for DH’s and GoD is near the bottom.

In other words, their standings are bullspit and they know it which is why they put that caveat in the preamble.

Anyway, I know you’re the type of player that wants to know what build to go for at the beginning of the Season so you can get a GR 150 out of the way as soon as possible.

The issue is no one can really tell you that. We all have guesses. And even with our guesses being correct, a GR 150 won’t be easy this season. There’s a lot of fishing involved this season no matter what build winds up being the top build.

To put it simply, if you’re not willing to farm over 2000 keys for a single GR 150 clear, this season isn’t for you.

Edit: For all we know, Marauders could be the top build for DH’s because it took what was good about mixing Marauder’s and Nat’s and gave it straight up to Marauder’s no mixing necessary. That’s just one possibility.

Yeah, I’m keen, but not 2000 key keen lol

May try necro LOD and Rathma as a few people seem to think they may be the way to go. See how it goes.

Trag Oul will probably still be easiest 150 clear at the start of S35.

I’ll go with wizard (as several times before). I have done a 150 with blood nova (in the season with an extra weapon power in the cube). If 150 gets too “fishy” I’ll be content with 140+. Maybe the theme plus the Altar will spawn a rift guardian with so much time to spare that stricken alone can finish it in time without the extra help (a saved pylon could also help).

Maybe, but I think it’s wiz LoD non-archon version. The tankiest build at low paragon.

P.S. It seems like PoJ is too low in the list.

I think best classes in S35 - will be - Necromancer, Wizard, Crusader , and monk rest is good to, but the fastest level 150 will be - Necromancer depends who played this time

Interesting thought…
