Iirc, they postponed S33 (two weeks?) to not conflict with D4, so it seems that it’s something they consider.
However, I’d wager they didn’t this time because they just want to be done with the season end/restart mess. Exploits, console people being locked out of the restarted season, using/wasting account rollbacks, general frustration, those sorts of things.
They could have said though, you know what, we messed up, and the season’s over. Then start D3 Season 34, and it would be a couple weeks ahead of D4s season.
You’ll see people claiming there’s no overlap of D3 & D4, but that’s just not true. And while most people will choose D4, there will always be some people who will choose D3’s Season Start., and this in turn will only hurt the D4 metrics.
If they just started the Season ahead of D4, we would be assured that there would not be any more seasonal overlap in the future.
I wouldn’t even expect YOU to have to drag-and-drop individual items into your inventory.
EDIT: and before you say it, I agree that PoE 1 + 2 require more thought than D4. They’re both way more complicated.
Still doesn’t mean Musk actually ever played either of them at top level. Definitely calls into question D4 as well.

They didn’t, no. But didn’t the PTR go on for a weirdly long time, much longer than usual? I wonder if that was because they just left it up while waiting the extra two weeks.
I don’t know for sure if D4 was the reason S33 was delayed. Previously they stuck to the three month formula pretty closely, so I suspect the S33 delay was because of D4. There was a decent amount of concern here about the two lining up too closely. It’s possible that Bliz agreed.
IIRC the last PTR we had was for updating the macOS client to be a fat binary (Intel + ARM64). That was where the extra time was needed, so they could make sure that client worked with both macOS clients and Windows clients alike. Not much in the way of real PTRing for the most part.
this game in non season is unplayable… because of poor and bad developing, they just keep making worst desicions, this season 33 should end in that exact day they reset all. idk why to play more 2 weeks in a dead season.

It was originally going to be a one-week PTR, but that seemed to get extended to two weeks. I believe though, at its conclusion, we still didn’t know when Season 32 was going to end.
I just saved a really cool demon child. We now have children in D4 again YAAAAY! Bless them. Also a really buff dude with a gammy arm (really bad remembering names, sorry). There really is no discrimination in my den!
I also came back with lots of hair after a really nasty man almost killed me. That was some incantation.

For a lot of us is isn’t about uncomfortable, it is more about fatigue. This crap is jammed into every orifice of our lives. It is nice to have a few safe spots where it doesn’t come up.

I have played nonseason for 4-5 years, some players even longer than that…
You only feel bad about non-s because you already are spoiled with too many free rewards, and generally being lazy unknowledgeable about the game mechanics
reminds me of the times when people were crying at eachother “why is the game lagging so much” “stop dps omgggg”, ““noo not 2 wizards in team it lagggs””… This is the same, lack of knowledge
I would still totally be playing nonseason, but it just doesnt profit nearly as much as seasons do thesedays, thats all there is to it.
But its still very cool and BALANCED like all things should be.
Meaning DLC character is absolutely overpowered character, so i recommend learning his tactics and all the other game mechanics
I will play nonseason when the season ends anyway, i always do play in between seasons
Oh this is very nice. I remember that season very well was one of my favorite, great seasonal theme.

Though I will admit, you are correct there. Crucible was my favorite season behind Altar, and now we have both. Since D3 doesn’t require money from me, I’ll be enjoying this one very much.
