I read it, I perfectly understand the concept of season, there’s a reason I’m 6000 levels ahead of you. What I was asking and I know perfectly well that it does not appear in the update notes is that if at the end of season 30 and as was done with the altar and the portals, if at all, could the Soul Shards be added to the normal game in the future?
If any developer sees this message, perhaps adding the themes with each season gives even more variety to the game, even if they are nerfed versions of the mechanics.
Maybe for season 31?
They could have reverted the movement speed nerf
Yeah, I expect some posts from people with especially bad luck, but this has got to be a lot better than before. My own run-of-the-mill experience with GG was something like 100 runs to find the cave 50 times to get Chiltara 40 times before it dropped. If most people can get the stone with 10-20 runs, that’s going to be a huge improvement.
It’s a huge improvement on last time we had the altar, I Must have killed that boss over 40 times until I get the part on season 28th, I did it with my buddy splitting the map in 2 to find the cave faster, he had to kill him another 30 time or so more than me to get it. Should get it within 10 kills this season even if unlucky. The rest of the parts for the staff are pretty easy and quick to get.(you don’t even have to hunt for the cave as much now, just look at act 3 bounties every time you start a game and see if the cave bounties is there since you don’t have to kill her as often to get it). Gonna get done on it’s own pretty much as you play the game.
I got 7 days to get 11 levels on the Tears glyth. gogo lol

This are my highlights so far:
Chilltara now has a 20% drop rate of Gibbering Gemstone
Thanks, that will help, but as others have pointed out, you still first need to get the cave spawned and find it, then hope that Chilltara spawned in the cave, and then have a 20% Chance to drop that thing.
Roland’s Legacy - Increased the damage of Shield Bash and Sweep Attack to 40,000% from 17,500%.
That is neat. Does not really fix the issue with Shield Bash’s attack speed and that it lacks a decent legendary shield that buffs it sufficiently, but this is a start!
The Shadow’s Mantle - Impale’s additional damage increased to 120,000% weapon damage from 75,000% to the first enemy hit, and to 40,000% from 25,000% to subsequent enemies.

Pestilence - Each enemy you hit with Bone Spear, Corpse Lance, and Corpse Explosion reduces your damage taken by 3%, up to a maximum of 75%. Lasts 15 seconds.
Can we get the D4 approach here, where you get half of the buff "by default’, and the other half via meting the conditions?
E.g.:
- Casting Bone Spear, Corpse Lance, and Corpse Explosion reduces your Damage Taken by 40% for 15 Seconds. Each time they hit an enemy it refreshes the duration and increases this bonus by 3% for up to 75% reduced Damage Taken.
The Smoldering Core - Lesser enemies are now lured to your Meteor impact areas. Meteors deal 40-50% increased damage on consecutive hits to the same target. This stacks up to 3 times, previously 10.
The Twisted Sword - Energy Twister damage is increased by 125-150% for each Energy Twister you have out up to a maximum of 3, previously 5. The Raging Storm rune is automatically applied to Energy Twister and allows the tornado to merge with 3 additional Energy Twisters.
Dude, sweet! … at least the reduction in required ramp-up time! But did the damage increase to compensate?

- Gelatinous Sire goblins no longer spawn from the Goblin Shrine inside Echoing Nightmares.
Will Blood Thiefs be removed too? because blood thiefs don’t drop anything in Echoing Nightmares

I expect they will end season 29 either on the 9th when the patch goes live or on the 12th so that the old season ends at the same time the new season starts.

That’s not how D3 works. Major patches are always applied after the season end and before the next starts. That means S29 ends this coming Sunday, on the 7th and not a day later.
Pez responded in twitter that this season ends the 7th.
Based on passed Seasons:
- Season 29 end: Sunday, January 7, 2024.
- Patch 2.7.7 start: Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 5:00 PM PST.
- Season 30 start: Friday, January 12, 2024 at 5:00 PM PST.
D3 seasons have always been ending on Sunday and starting on Friday so you can expect it to end on Sunday Jan 7th
So they dialed back on the Mundunugu and M6 nerfs a tad.
Not sure if the Denial or Pestilence changes are a nerf or buff. Can’t load up game now to check.
No S30 guardian specific cosmetics though which is a shame.
And we’ll find out if the Altar is in ns come the 9th.
EDIT: Denial looks like a nerf… now each stack lasts up to 5 seconds whilst this wording wasn’t there before. Maybe I’ll keep my primal Denial from S29.
And Pestilence DR is a buff which is nice. I still hate how it works though.
How is this an increase? What am I missing?
