I have two characters created for season 28. Both cannot upgrade a Rare in Kanais cube. I receive a transmute failed and I have the MATs to complete the pieces. I have a L70 dagger I just created from Blacksmith and the 25 death breaths along with the 50 other MATs.

I have the same issue, is there a fix? I have made sure to check if the proper amounts of mats are used and the item is level 70, nothing works

You must be doing something wrong then. Maybe the item youâre trying to transmute is not a lvl 70 item (like, you have unlocked the Altarâs âno level requirementsâ seal, which makes the itemâs real level kinda obscured and you mistakenly put a wrong item in the cube).
Open your cube, do what you did before pressing âTransmuteâ, hover your cursor over the item youâre trying to upgrade, then make a screenshot and post it here.

That is a design flaw with the altar - it should show level 1 and in brackets, the items real level prior to altar application. BAD design.
again, like i said in my own reply, Iâve made sure the item is level 70. Iâve tried it with multiple items (all level 70) and nothing works. Iâve closed my game, restarted my computer, waited a day, nothing. unless the item level is different from the required level in the bottom right corner of the item description, i am at a loss.
Is your Blacksmith leveled to 12?
Are you crafting items that say âSovereignâ?

You may already know this. And, you may already be doing this. But, just to be clear:
- Your Blacksmith must be Trained to Level 12 to craft Level 70 Rare items.
- All crafted Level 70 Rare items start with the prefix Sovereign.
- Exception: Level 70 Rare Scythes start with the prefix Grandmaster.
- Exception: Level 70 Rare Phylacteries start with the prefix Embalming.

but you are not providing enough details. All we have is your word
Some screenshots or a video of what you are exactly doing would for sure be helpful in resolving this issue.
