Season 27 on route to becoming the longest season ever

As it stands right now S1 was 159 days long and it remains the longest season ever but i believe it is about to be dethroned.

Unless (highly unlikely) we get a PTR announcement in the next 10 days, there will be no new season this year since it usually takes about 3~4 weeks since the announcement till it goes live. Since we’re 5 weeks away till Christmas, it’s safe to say it’s not happening.

Now, in my experience, there seems to be little to no activity going on in the first week of the new year as well, other than bug fixing and hotfixes across all platforms. That means we might get a ptr announcement earliest on 7th-10th January. Add 3-4 weeks to that.

If s28 starts later than the 2nd of feb, it passes 160 days.

I’ll end by saying that I hope a blue post comes in the next couple of days and makes everything I said here irrelevant.

Pretty much what I detailed in an earlier post on a similar topic…

I always had vacation on PTR and Season start, that was not planned. My guess was PTR starts this week. But I hope it’s a great one. With the highest count of legendary powers added, reworked and adjusted.

One can only hope. But i guess the new theme will be in focus more. And set balance.

Too late for this week. PTRs are typically Thursdays. And next Thursday is out of the question. So, as with what the above website linked, we’ll probably hear about a PTR announcement in the beginning of December. And the rest of the dates seem pretty much on point. As this point in time, you can only expect the Diablo 3 seasons to be longer.

The elephant in the room is D4. This hands down takes away more people than D:I and D2R. Just hoping since there’s a gap between the supposed Closed Beta end and Open beta start, we get another season.

Considering next Saturday is the 3 month mark, it’s not that bad

Honestly, I don’t expect season 27 to surpass season 1 in terms of duration.

Open Beta is probably in February. I don’t know if i’m alowed to speak about the end of the Closed Beta, but it’s realy realy close. So theres a pretty big window.

Some people on the forum have been talking about everything else in the beta, so much for the NDA.

As long as it’s not info that you can only get from the closed beta itself, I imagine you should be fine.

And thus the cycle continues.

I have seen a few people on the forum talking about things from the beta that are not public knowledge. I am not sure why the mods have not done anything about it.

Most likely it fell underneath the mods radar.

The PureDiablo website already gave up the beta end date. These were the same people who reviled what the D4 fifth class was before Blizzconline. Blizzard did not do anything to them.

Well I doubt the forum mods can essentially do anything about it (when it comes to things outside these forums) beyond report it. As for Blizzard itself, that’s another matter altogether, however unless the third party is sharing images or videos directly from beta itself, I imagine they’ll find it too troublesome to go after them. At least that’s my speculation on the matter so take it with a massive amount of salt.

I simply hope that those who did participate in the closed beta had left some insightful and great feedback, especially for those who weren’t able to get in and/or participate.

It wouldn’t be that bad had a PTR already been up and running, considering it’s not like OP said you might be looking at 5 months + with the lack of holiday activity.

Well if they allready shared it. I don’t have to.

not gonna happen since that would mean Season start around Christmas.
TLDR: IMHO it’s either next week or next year
