Details: All skills are free of their traditional costs (cooldown, resource). First skill means the first equipped skill from left to right in the skill bar. Skills that were traditionally cast on yourself are now cast at enemy / (armor, shout), or by a short-lived doppelgänger near the enemy (movement, shapeshift), and always benefit you. The base cooldown is now the skill total duration (animation + time it lasts + side-effects duration). Additional positive or negative cooldowns can apply for balance. The number of missiles can be increased by itemization or maximum charges. Skills are casted with their active states, which implies their maximum passive state (7 Skeletons for Command Skeletons). When multiple missiles or pets are available, they can act independently and attack different targets (Mages can, but Commanded Skeletons cannot as they are grouped).

- The power is essentially a generic background auto-cast based on the skill total duration, generally shorter than its cooldown
- Power creep is mitigated, as players:
- need to equip this legendary gem, that grants no raw power
- focus on 1 damaging skill through itemization
- …But beware skills with low duration and high damage like Army of the Dead / Death Valley: the cooldown should be adjusted accordingly to balance the perma skill
- Non-moveable durable effects like Cursed Ground or Hydra are recast if their center is out of screen
- Defiler’s Cuisses makes Bone Spirit 3-5 times faster
- Contamination gives the more assaulting Mages
- Contamination + Circle of Nailuj’s Evol + Blood and Bone gives 10 Mages (2 Mages x 2 x 3 = 12 capped to 10)
- Other Mage runes + Circle of Nailuj’s Evol + Blood and Bone gives 6 Mages (1 Mage x 2 x 3 = 6)
