S38 has now been going almost 3 months. That means we are due for a S39 announcement. For some reason Blizz decided to put 4 months between 37 and 38. I hope that doesn’t happen again for 39.

Season 37 had a period of 3 months 2 weeks and 2 days or 107 days. It was from friday, 05.12.2025 till sunday, 22.03.2026. And season 38 started at 27.03.2026. So please dont exaggerate.

I anticipate 1 of 3 dates:
- 6/28 end-> 7/3 start. Least likely, due to holiday weekend (or most likely for the flip side.)
- 7/12 end→ 7/17 start. More likely, but Blizz could do…
- 8/2 end→ 8/7 start or later. Ethereal seasons have been doing really well for players and we could have a S27/S28 situation where those combined seasons lasted 11 months!
Bottom line, I don’t know the answer. However, option 2 is my projection. If we get into option 3 territory… who knows?

Yeah 6/28 end would be the 3 month mark especially since we traditionally end on Sundays.
Starting 7/3 is a no go because it’s a holiday which puts us at 7/10 start date hopefully. I could see the safe bet being 7/17 though.
I just hope they don’t extend another month like last season because that puts D3 season the same time as the next poe league.
It should be around the corner, but I heard Seasons of other Diablo titles are close as well. This could prolong a little longer than the expected time and dates.
I don’t have any friends who play d3, so you can tell me!

I’m so disconnected from D4 that I didn’t realize it’s already been a couple months since the expansion came out. Seems like their current season was cut short then because the expac came out end of April so they shouldn’t get a season until end of July, but the internet says June 30th is their next season, very odd.
We just need the janitor to hit the reset button is all.
There should still be enough time for you to reach 800 paragons before the season ends. Oh and also find an ethereal to equip…

I don’t really care about the paragons. I just like to beat the season journey and explore build options based on the gear I’ve found.
The answer to this is ALWAYS THE SAME. ALWAYS.
When it is announced.
Been that way for a long time so sit back and keep checking.

You really don’t need a new season start for either of those. Once you beat the SJ, do it on SSF or on another region. This gives you 6 SJ’s to complete on one account in a season. Based on your casual play time, you most likely won’t complete all 6 SJ’s before the next season starts.

Didn’t season 37 have that issue/bug on start for 2 weeks? Could be why it was extended.
I think it will be at least a month from more. Diablo 4 season will start in 2 weeks ish. (30th of June)
since it would be very unlikely they try to lure people away from their flagship title I’d expect it no earlier than August.
Casual play time? I beat D3 vanilla, D3 reaper expac, and D3 necro dlc. I’ve subsequently beaten every single season journey since season 1. What about that is casual to you? Because I don’t grind out an arbitrary paragon number that literally gets deleted by blizz 3-4 months later?
My non-seasonal characters have max paragon and every gear piece in the game on them so seasons for me are about grinding the season journey using made up builds because I’ve done just about everything else.
Max paragon is 20.000
Of course you are free to ask as much as you want about season end. One would just think that since you have played all seasons starting from number 1, you’d also know that it’s useless to expect an answer before the announcement is made public.
