Here in the South that’s quite common. We put beer in freezer and take them out right before we go do an outside activity, like fishing, play ball etc. They are the perfect slushies.
In Europe, not verry much, and it tasted funny. Carbonatrion was also off the table. XD Was weird but not bad actually.
Just as me.
1 Rift Challenge is exactly what players need to buy the Hellfire Amulet.
- Create a Cow Level Goblin
- Increase spawn chances of Vault Gobin
Developers
- No need for balancing legendaries and sets, since they don’t drop anymore
- Chaos items are RNG = the game is auto-balanced through randomness
- Less time spent on items = Better time spent elsewhere
Players
- Different experience for every game
- The adventure is full of surprises
- The replayability is infinite
- There is no boredom
They would literally have to rebuild half the game to remove legendaries and legendary gems, the cube, the set dungeons, the season journey, conquests, etc.
RNG does not guarantee balance. Quite the opposite, it would likely result in some wildly unbalanced sets of random powers all coming together at the same time.
All our existing favorite builds would be out the window. No chance of thinking up new builds either since everything is so random, we can’t depend on anything being consistent for any useful duration.
Most of the loot hunt is gone since basically everything that drops is some random unexpected thing and you can’t hunt for any specific item that you want anymore, which is 80 percent what the game is about and why most of us love it.
You have literally removed all but 2 of the game modes, making it by far more boring than any recent instance of it has been for some time now.
People like to rely on things, they like to know they can play their favorite set or playstyle, that they can plan new ways to use the items they are familiar with. Complete chaos is possibly enjoyable for brief moments, but definitely not as an entire season theme.
Not to mention say goodbye to 90 percent of the leaderboards, no more sets or builds means you have just 1 leaderboard for each class. I am fairly certain a ton of players would object to that.
Nah.
Removing features is actually a lot easier than adding them.
They just need to comment few lines.
Once the proper display function is commented, the feature is removed from the screen.
In Mathematics, the Central Theorem Limit states that every probability function, including randomness, turns over time into a Normal distribution, which means a gaussian function perfecly balanced.

TLDR
Mathematics says RNG is perfectly balanced.

Players don’t need to think new builds as there are thousands of new builds right in the game.
Builds are now industrialized rather than hand crafted.
RNG is an unmatched build factory.
On the contrary, the more you hunt, the more you increase chances to find the suitable item for your build.
Since power increase and Chaotic powers can now roll on any piece, players have more chances to find what they seek.
The tradeoff is worth for the time of a season.
Season are times to experiment new things.
This proposal offers freshness out of thin air.
Let’s say they never had the choice to begin with.
Let’s agree to disagree on this point.
It is possible to ventilate / index Leaderboards per class, main skill producing damage, chaotic power, …etc.
I think we can agree to disagree on this entire subject.
G’luck, I can almost guarantee this thing will never, ever happen. And I am glad it won’t.
G’day =)
Ok I actually read through, and this is basicly easy mode.
Easy mode ?
What do you mean ?
Update
- Roll chance for multiplicative damage increase
- Damage sheet on 4K poster
OH MAN! The memories. Chaos magic in AD&D 2nd Edition. Dang chaos fields messing things up. Dang Chaos Imps infesting magic times and having fun with them.
I attack the Beholder with my +5 Flaming Long Sword of Striking (or some other cool weapon you have when you are over that level 12 hump and are facing those GG monsters all over the place) and, I roll a 17, my natual Thac0 is 3, my adjusted Thac0 is -5. So I hit it right?
Yup. But instead of that GG sword, you have a giant carrot.
WTF? A WHAT?
A carrort.
I DISBELIEVE!!!
Okay, it still a carrot. Make a listen check.
Why? What for?
Because I am the DM and you are a player holding friggen giant carrot.
Okay, fine I do. There’s my roll. I got a…
Meh, no need. You would hear it with a roll of 2 or better on the d20 without and modifications.
Okay, so what happens?
The giant carrot is laughing at you.
WHAT? Fine I drop the carrot and stomp on it.
You hear a language you can’t understand and notice that the giant carrot is now your sword and there is an imp standing on top of it. Oh and by the way, the Beholder attacks you.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Oh, the joys of chaos magic. Good times. I honestly forgot what weapon I was using. So, I just came up with something that was fairly common for high level characters.
Few months ago Larian Studios implemented Wild Magic in Baldur’s Gate 3:
https://screenrant.com/baldurs-gate-3-sorcerer-subclass-wild-magic-gameplay/
Players eager to harness the power of chaos and test their luck with Baldur’s Gate 3’s new mechanic (…) the powers of Wild Magic are too good to be true and often come at a price. In a traditional tabletop Dungeons & Dragons game, players utilizing Wild Magic skills roll a d100 to determine what unforeseen effect befalls their character and party. This effect has translated nicely into Baldur’s Gate 3’s gameplay, triggering a random event that ranges from setting surroundings on fire to summoning a raging, hostile demon. Thankfully, some random events can work in the caster’s favor (…)
They don’t yet summon giant carrots
Nice. Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition has wild magic, but I never did anything with it really. I toyed with it for a little while, but it really didn’t add anything to the game in a meaningful way, so I just opted to stay with the non-kitted Human or Elf mage or a Gnome Illusionist.
Edit.
Grim Dawn has a Carrot as a weapon. If I remember correctly, that was a nod to Titan Quest having such a weapon.
