I play two accounts on all three Regions and I am doing them all on HC this Season.
EN is horrible for HC. Using Shards for augments is much safer.
Altar makes raising a replacement easy.

I finished the season journey 5 times in HC. You can play it as both SSF and regular group on each region. So I did NA twice, EU twice, and Asia once. My problem with running EN’s was not getting enough screams. On two of the play throughs I didn’t get one until p700 or so. By that time I had so many shards and embers the EN’s were kind of pointless. But the altar also makes running EN’s a lot easier.
