The current drop rate for embers is frustratingly low.
Here’s an idea for the season: In addition to the way embers drop right now, clicking Pools of Reflection gives (at least a chance) for x to y embers to drop. At least then we could “target farm” embers when we run out - which is all the time right now.
Or alternatively, allow us to salvage shards into embers.

Although I would like the Ember droprate to be higher, I don’t think they gonna buff it.
If I remember correctly I managed to get all the shard combinations upgraded I needed by 2K paragons back in Shard season.
Also, it seems they have a better dropchance in Visions of Enmity.
Ember drop rate was a problem in its season, too.
Several seasonal themes have this gating issue. One of the few things D4 seasons are better at is letting their season mechanics apply early so people can spend time actually using them.
