so … now movement speed was reduced to 0,125 per point and there is limit per window max 200 points …
200 x 0,125 = 25
if 200 is maximum but according to the PTR notes we can surpass 25 movement speed from items … what items? How are items related to paragon? What stupidity is this?
Also … if 200 points is maximum per each category, why should we waste 200 paragon levels for 25% speed compared to previous 50 points … you increased it 4 times for the same bonus … idiotic
and if we use 200 points for movement speed … does that mean we cannot add points to other stats like mana, damage and hp?
What a way to kill the game …
you are banning me all the time so what is one extra ban … you are the most idiotic people in there, put barriers on everything, increasing the grind, lowering bonuses etc …
guess i wont play D3 anymore too …
D4 sucks
D3 was good and you are going to break it too …
It’s logical when it comes to reducing negative cashflow from running the game. This is a cost cutting measure in preparation of the game entering full maintenance mode.
IMO paragon point limitations for seasons is them experimenting with a way of reducing the player desire to run bots. It’s no secret that a large group of players run paragon bots to empower their characters. Botters consume server and bandwidth resources which they have to pay for. Limiting paragon reduces player incentive to run bots. Banning bots as well as handling ban appeal requests costs money/manhours.
Even though the notes say paragon point limitations are “Exclusive to Season 29”, I’ll bet that limited paragon points for seasons will be permanent. If paragon point limitations for seasons makes players quit playing, it’s probably part of their retirement plan for D3 anyways, as well as trying to push players towards D4.
It’s a bonus for speed content as you don’t need the damage/toughness from main stat and you’re no longer capped at 25% meaning you actually get use out of movement speed on items, which works pretty well in conjunction with the season theme.
Are you planing to make that argument in every thread?
I mean why not just make your point without insults and risks of banning?
The movement speed change is currently illogical , you are correct. We spent 50 points to get 25% movement which was the cap, now that cap is raised to 50% and we spend 4x as many points to get the old bonus cap and you need 2 movement speed items (so MORE than boots) to max which doesn’t make sense.
Everything you said there is correct, now if only you said it in a civil manner they’d actually might listen and consider it.
The change is actually one of the largest net nerfs in awhile.
So before as stated 50 points would give you 25% movement, you then had 50 more points giving you 250 main stat, 250 VIT and more maximum resource. You then freed up boot slot to give you for instance more regen or armor/resist.
So this change was -250 main stat, -250 VIT, -10% ish resources, -regen or defense. Which before with plenty of main stat to gain in paragon wasn’t a big deal, but limited to 1k actually does make a difference.
They cannot balance a quadrupled movement speed paragon bonus where importance and weight of positioning supposed to stand at endgame. We are talking about constant +100% movement speed which surpasses other attributes in the paragon tab. I know you want to have a constant Speed Pylon, but this would eliminate the weight of choices and position priorities. Game flow want you to bait out dangerous elite abilities away from advantageous positions, not have you go head first without thinking.
Hence they chose to nerf movement speed but gave you an opportunity to stack it properly with items. Now your Compass Rose and Guardian’s Sight may have a use and it will make sense when your boots have movement speed at certain builds.
Removing worthy struggle from gameflow isn’t a “Quality of Life” change. Trust developers at some point; if they gave you s28 and returning Altar at S30 onwards, they obviously have been play testing the game in and out.
