S25 seems like it’s gonna be a bit tricky this time, I’ve never tried to do Cursed by myself as I can’t imagine I’d even get close.
It’s either find a group for that or do the set dungeon one ugh haha. The gems n GR 45 no set items are a given. Gimme Boss mode, at least I can solo that on my chicken WD.
The cursed chest conquest is one of the easier ones with an AoE build like Demon Hunter Unhallowed Essence/Marauder’s builds using Multishot or GoD DH. I’ve done it with a WW Rend barb as well (use the WW rune that pulls mobs in). Remember it only has to be at Torment X.
Just look for The Cursed Peat bounty in Act V. I’ve usually done it solo by waiting until the starting act is Act V then fishing for it.
I find it one of the easier conquests to do but YMMV.

Curses! is definitely easy but build dependent. As mentioned above, Multishot build can smash this conquest on a first try.
Just a little caveat as someone’s bound to mention it: this conquest is very easy on PC but tricky on consoles due to much lower spawn rates.

Cruzader is the easiest class to complete a season
I was going to go Inna monk this season as haven’t played one since S18… guess making a DH alt is still gonna be easier than mastering 8 set dungeons haha.
Just use Haedrig’s Gift of Sunwuko if you’re going monk. Bell monk can easily clear and carry Curses on the PC.
Or create HC char if you have a slot?
The S25 shards gem thingy makes it easy to drive safe in HC mode, imo.

On the console, yeah, HC would be the way to go. But on the PC, every class has a build that can easily clear Curses. If he goes to HC, he still has to gear up, and that’s going to take longer than just getting a build in SC.
Just remember that easy is relative. Even with multishot you need to max out damage in order not to fail 350 by a few kills - depending on how strong you are in paragons and items etc.
True.
HC can be recommended only if the player can somehow enjoy this part : “he still has to gear up, and that’s going to take longer” .
Oh wow, season 25 conquests solo is going to suck on console.
Looks like I’m going to master 8 set dungeons.
As noted above, due to certain restrictions that make it near impossible, I am skipping the Curses challenge (as I have ever since the last time I attempted it and failed 25 times) and will probably do the HC no set 45 clear as that is much easier; probably do it as a barbarian since my main will be DH. The closest I got was with a multishot build followed by a leapquake barbarian and then a tempest rush Justice monk. At least solo - when playing two player with my lady, we actually did worse together than either separately… and decided it just was not worth the hassle.
I’ve done the 8 set mastery in the past but I don’t enjoy it and find it tedious to rebuild to specific points to do an under-5 minute run through one dungeon. If it were part of normal progression, like say, a speed run under 2 minutes, then sure, another story.
It’s less the damage, and more about your ability to keep hatred. With a generic 6 piece, you will have the damage.
Cursed Peat with about 300k DPS. 368 kills. And only 200 Paragon used.
The one requirement is that you have a Dawn, but practically every DH build requires a Dawn. I use Captain Crimsons more for the cooldown and resource reduction. I had a previous run before this without it, and using a Yang’s, and got 400+ kills. But getting Yang’s requires the RNG, whereas if you run enough bounties, you can guarantee the set. If not going for the Yangs, an RRoG will be necessary. You can replace Captain Crimson’s with a Cindercoat and get the same desired outcome. The main issue is, you’ll want 45% or higher cooldown for permanent Vengeance and Hatred Regen skills.
As for the console solo attempt:
This, you cannot run a minimalist build. You need the Cindercoat. You can use either Captain Crimsons or a Witching Hour belt. The main thing here is position. You need to be right above the stairs, and you cannot run out of Hatred even once, or you will fail. Even being off in positioning a couple centimeters will make it so that you fail the conquest. This is best to do in a group, but you still are required to have a either a Hammerdin Crusader, UE Demon Hunter, or Marauders Demon Hunter in your group. Don’t even bother to attempt this conquest unless you have one of those 3 builds, as you will fail, bar running 4 Inna’s Monks.

Cursed Peat came up as a bounty in a nonseason game and I got over 400 just standing in the middle throwing Frozen Orbs left and right.
Curses is one of the easiest ones if you can kill fast enough. Multishot DH and Fist Heavens Crusader are masters at soloing it.
Thrill and GR75, you can do those in HC.

37:ish is enough for Vengeance though.

Curses definitely isn’t one of the easiest (solo), if you take into account how frustrating it’s to search the correct chest.
I like to do conquests alone and I’ve done it only once during all the years.
- One time I searched it as a newbie, found, tried alone and luckily got exactly 350 kills with multishot
- Another time I almost got it with GoD set at T16. But as I wasn’t specifically hunting it I noticed it middle of bounty material collection. Attempted without lowering torment level and got 349 kills.
- Third time I hunted it for some time. After some time I considered whether I should do set mastery conquest or curses. I ended up doing one of the really easy ones by starting a fresh HC character.
I feel like they’re confusing CDR and RCR. especially when blabbing on about Cindercoat and Crimmo’s later in the piece.
Edit: I see they’ve edited the post from earlier.
Not really. Remember, the minimum requirement for this conquest is T10. You can easily sacrifice some damage for things like attack speed and RCR so you can spam Multishot without worry of running out of hatred.
