We have the start dates for S24 set at 7/23/21. Based on that info, I have calculated the potential window of end dates for S24. They are:
10/24: The 3-month mark is the 22nd. This is that Sunday and the earliest the season can end.
10/31: Halloween is on a Sunday this year and, as much as people will find it ironic that a D3 season would end on a holiday, I don’t see that happening.
11/7: The first of the 2 likely end dates, should Blizzard take the extra week to set up S25. With Thanksgiving coming early this year, we know from past experience that they won’t do anything for the holiday season.
11/14: The second likely end date, it leaves Blizzard less time to get S25 up, but with Thanksgiving the following week…
This all leads to a projected S25 start date of 11/19. Thanksgiving lands on the second earliest date it could be (11/25), and Blizzard usually takes its holiday time off from the major projects very seriously.
So, there you have it. The road map of S24 in my vision. We will see if it gets followed. As usual, these dates are subject to change, as I don’t know the actual dates. However, in keeping with the usual 3 month template, these are the likely dates. It could be earlier, but I don’t see that happening. It could be later, but I don’t see them messing with their holidays or the annual Darkening of Tristram event, which would push the end date into February. The one thing it would allow for would be the Feat of Strength of getting the transmog for acquiring all 21 ethereal items. I don’t see that happening, either.
I was hoping Season 25 could start near Halloween so they could implement a more decent theme, like a Season of the Witch or something (obs, a better name as that is tired and bland.)
Given that 25 is usually a special number (as in anniversaries), something special for it should be done nonetheless and nevermore. Samhain is as good a start as any with Gobbler being primarily a US thing and we want the whole world in our hands, precious.

All I’m looking forward to is next Sunday (season 23 end) and the Friday after that, July 23rd the begin of S24.

D5 will not be any good, but D6 will. Can’t wait. I pretty sure launch date for D6 is March 6th 2040. That’s my prediction and I’m sticking to it.
PS D6 release date will coincide with the release of D3R, but who cares.

We already know exact date this time, 9/22.
I only project a season at a time. And I get tired of people asking when seasons will end, so I decided to nip that question before anyone even asked it. As far as other projects go, those decisions are entirely up to the teams driving those projects along the development process.
