S21: New "Royal Ring of Freedom" Idea: An opposite of LON/LOD

How about a new item that is meant to give more freedom to the game, similar to how RoRG really gave the game a lot more viable builds.

Royal Ring of Freedom:
Each different set bonus utilized, increases your dmg by 1000% per set bonus (6-piece bonuses not included).

So the point of this item would be to utilize as many 2,3,4 piece set bonuses to maximize damage output. Because most 2,3,4 piece set bonuses are usually damage reduction or resource related, I’ve always wanted to try a viable end-game build with a Jack-of-All-Trades kinda build but lacked the damage output. I think it would give the game an additional layer of freedom, kinda like when RoRG was first introduced. Of course, the season theme could be RoRG again, so you are free to cube the new ring and go with all the available sets!

OR it could just as easily be a new Gem called the Gem of Freedom. Might be easier :stuck_out_tongue:

On of the questionable design twists of D3 is that it took D2’s sets, which were interstitial and meant to transition into the late game, and made them full late game builds.

LoN was created to combat this, with LoD taking it to the next step. This allowed non-set builds to possibly by late-gamer setups. Why would you reverse this?
