We had explained why the earliest end date is Nov 8, because of two weeks advanced notice.
Many players need to plan their seasonal schedule in advance.
Also, dev wants to reserve more days to fix any problem caused by new patch. We had experience of bugs in some patches that couldn’t be fixed (even not spotted) before season started. They were fixed after the season started but the seasonal leaderboard had already contaminated and needed to be reset. We all want to avoid this happening again.
Can someone please explain to me WHY we have this conversation every single time before season ends/starts ? Why ? Just… Why ?

Well…might be because intelligent people often debate amongst themselves Instead of waiting for the answer silently. Ever been in a room full of nerd/geeks/scientists? It’s usually not as quiet as some people think and instead, there are several groups of them rambling on and debating their ideas.

CM is waiting for the PTR result and confirmation from Dev team.
If no more extension of PTR, Nov 8 will be the end date.
I really do not see the problem with people speculating about when the seasons will end or start. Some people need to make plans in advance for week-ends, etc… Anyway, you do not have to participate in these conversations if you are not interested.

They used to give expected end dates for the season in the season starting blogs.
They stopped doing so, which leads to speculation.

The intended audience for the Português BattleNet launcher is likely the people in Brazil and other South American countries.
If you bring up the Forum index and scroll to the very bottom and click on the forum language, you will note that Português is only available under “Americas and Southeast Asia”. There used to be a Português language forum under Europe… but that was closed a few years ago.
It only take a few minutes to check… currently, it shows:
Note also the Breaking News where it says that scheduled maintenance will occur on 27 Oct between 7:00 AM PDT and 8:00 AM PDT. That’s for the Americas server… the scheduled maintenance for the Europe server is today for Overwatch (PSN) and tomorrow for WoW. Yet another “proof” that the intended audience is for the people playing on Americas region… not Europe.

We might not know yet when S22 will start exactly, but we do already know when it will NOT start: S22 will certainly not start on 30 October nor 6 November (and most likely not on 13 November, except for a miracle). This is already useful information for those who want to go away for the WE, for example.
Season 21 will end 8.11. if everything goes as planned from now on.
edit: Season 22 should start around 1-2 weeks later, if everything goes as planned. Thx for correction.

No, season 22 should start on 20 November if everything goes as planned from now on. Since season 18 there has always been a 12-day gap between season end and next season start.

Well, one could argue that they used the extended PTR-Time to already adress those critical issues, and therefore start it on the 13th.
